Yeah, this is my new sculpt with ZBrush :stuck_out_tongue: I was try to make something like Zhu Bajie from Journey to the West-one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature but in the quick sculpt way :stuck_out_tongue: So you may see it’s still have some polygon cause I only sud 3 times :stuck_out_tongue: SO hope you guy like it and give me some of your C&C to help me improve it! THanks you a lots!
BTW, I heard that in Zbrush, we can have something nice like SS but although I I search on Internet and try with some tutorial, my result look like a mess… so it’s really nice for me if you guy can give me some of your experience about SSS in Zbrush! :stuck_out_tongue:

No prob Phan. It’s easy to give you such comments, your work speaks for it self. Loving this pig/dude thingy- Again, the way your laying in the muscles on the face, such ‘thickness’… too cool!!:+1: :+1: :+1:

Hi Phan, anything new?

nice work man … and that superman model is fantastic … i think you used for the hair a sphere right ?

Hello guy! It feel like I haven’t post anything new here for a long time :stuck_out_tongue: So I really want to share with you my lastest work. Dragon: Hehehehe :stuck_out_tongue: Sorry, I haven’t post anything new here cause I want to finish this guy ^^ I mean with everything like polygon or texture so it took me a whole month to do this :frowning: of course my progress is very slow since I’m on my summer vacation now :stuck_out_tongue: so I work for about 1-2 hours per day? So hope you like my lastest work :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks you very much for watching my work :stuck_out_tongue: It’s really or me to have you to look for my lastest job ^^ Thanks you very much

WOW Man !!! … Kratos is one of my fav characters … Epic model :+1:

Next one: start with a anatomic perfect body. Then use the ‘magnify-brush’ to pump the muscles. Do not forget the skin covering the banana-looking muscles.
Just a hint

alnaqbi: Hehehehehe xD I’m glad that you like it  THanks you very much!

Bas Mazur: Hey man, thanks you for your very kind comment ^^ It help me so much  I think a lot of anatomy-study-things are waiting for me :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks you very much

you are very welcome bro :+1:

Hi phan. Kratos IS a cool character. Yours is JUST AS COOL!! Just one thing my friend, even with your AWSOME ‘thick’ style, I think you did a better job with your HULK’s lat’s (back) than with Kratos. If you were to give your Kratos HULK’s back… it would be a perfect model. Again, other than that… loving it!

Dragon: heheheheh! Thanks you a lot for your very kind comment ^^ Yeah my Kratos’s back look quite…erh… unfinish? :-s feel like banana I think  I think it’s time for me to study more about anatomy ^^

Hello guy! This is my new ZBrush sculpt, I was try to sculpt and alien bust with a new workflow to study  I thinks it’s time for me to improve my render progress and my images quality, so I try to render it in 3dsmax with mentalray and SSS material, and finally a bit retouch in Photoshop (maybe not a little bit :P) but yeah I quite happy with how my result turn out  So it would be really great for me you you guy can give me some of you advice so I can improve my skill more :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks you a lot! ^^

Your sculpts are very detailed. Your Kratos sculpt looks the best to me.
If I may make a few critiques. I feel some of the anatomy, and clothing details aren’t quite right. The wrinkles on the pants of the Hulk are too linear, or too straight and don’t look organic. Also, some of the muscles look odd to me, especially, on his lower legs.
Your characters are very beefy and dense looking. Reminds me of a family I know. The whole family is large, big-boned, and very solid looking. Not dainty at all.
I also notice the arms and legs don’t really taper on your models. The arms almost have a Popeye look to them - especially on the Hulk, and to a lesser degree, Superman. Unless you are going for a really stylized approach, Superman’s hands and feet are a bit too large compared to the rest of him.
Anyway, that’s my two-cents.

Webhead: WOW! thanks you a lot for your very kind comment  I really appreciate it! ^^ About my sculpt and anatomy, yeah, you say right ^^ I don’t know but everytime I sculpt, the result look like something maybe a bit too much :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah, I’m working on it so hope my knowledge about anatomy and my sculpt would be better :stuck_out_tongue: Anyway, you comment is something money can’t buy  THanks a lot! :+1:

I hope my comments were helpful. You do have some talent, and I’m sure you will continue to get better all the time, so keep sculpting!

Webhead: Your comment help me alot  Thanks mate! I will try my best and hope I won’t let you down!

Wow phan, I have not been up here for some time. You have a unique style. As webhead points out “…Your characters are very beefy and dense looking”. Didn’t I tell ya? You have a cool look going. It’s your own. Keep moving along. I would love nothing more than one day buy a book called “The Heavy Duty art of Phan Thanhtruc”!!

Dragon: Man… I don’t know what to say but your words means a lot to me  THanks a lot for watching my works, give me so much helpful advice and attention  It’s really great for me to have you here and give me so much great things like this  :+1:

We all need it my friend. But, art is not about money. I have come to learn that for me, art is about well… art. We as artists must first appreciate ourselves, our art. You see, all these years I have been chasing the money i.e. how can I make a living with my art? I have been running after money, instead of concentrating more on my art. Yes, we all have bills to pay and things we would like. But, we must first love our lives and the things that makes us happy in it, like our art. I have come to learn, if we first concentrate on those things (the things that are most important), then everything else will fall in place.
You my friend have and are concentrating on your art… I and everyone else up here can see that. Are you perfect, of course not, none of us are. However, I can see that everyday you are honeing your skills and you will get to that ‘perfection’ with your art. And, I can’t wait to be one of the first to see that happen… the day you become ‘that complete artist you will become’ and of course, an amazing human being. Artists like you, inspire artists like me- Best to you my friend and everyone else that feels that wonderful, child like, high inspiration to make art. Best. Dragon.

It been a long time I haven’t post anything thing :stuck_out_tongue: spent a couple of hours render my old work and paint-over in Photoshop, so here it is
