The foreground red colors are pulling too much of my attention (for me) in the final comp that I almost missed the DOF with the planet (?) behind that really establishes a wonderful sense of scale.

EX: what did your base mesh look like before adding detail?
How did you add the detail? was it with alphas or sculpting or both?
What is your texturing process? polypainting or image projection?
Also if you care to share any of your post production work flow that would be nice to see as well.
EX: a before and after photoshop treatment.
