Owl and the Pussycat

:+1: :+1: great pig and forest!!
Very nice also the scene of the owl and the cat… my favourite is the one before the last… about the poem, I knew the Italian version, but I always thought it was a simple rhyme for kids written by an anonimous Italian guy, with not a great success…instead…

Lazy Leaves

If you are a lazy sod like me, you might enjoy this method of filling in foliage areas.

  1. Create your basic branch or tree on one layer.

And there you have it. Lots of lazy leaves

Nice! This is a good way to make more dark leaves at the backside of the tree. It is hard to place the leaves at that side. Thanks for sharing!

This is perhaps a better example showing mottling on the leaves. The alphas create a very nice shadow effect.

Amazing scene :+1:
Pilou

Hmmmmm while reading your fabulous foliating tutorial a thought occured to me… PEOPLEPOKER !!!. THAT script must be extremely well suited to plop a variety of leaves onto a tree. Define a bunch and the peoplepoker script will vary them automatically…Great inspiration!

I’ll try that out and post my results…

Cheers

I hadn’t found this script yet, thanks for the heads-up! I will give it a whirl too. Let’s see what we can come up with :+1: :+1:
here is the link to the People Poker script if any one else wants to experiment: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=24616&highlight=PEOPLEPOKER

…a very easy tool : the Spray !!!
With adequat regulates, it’s the more speedy for any disparate organic things
Pilou

Pilou, what spray? Never seen it. or just missed

Bas, Frenchie means spray in the stroke menu, colorized or regular.

Playing with the People Poker I came up with this:

Aah, ofcourse that spray, thanks

Lovely!

Playing around with the Pig a little tonight…

very nice.
i would give more attention to the arms and shoulder thou.

Doron is right. The skin also needs wrinkles with a lot of ā€˜inflatebrush’ between, like a fat baby. It is also hard to mak a choice what to do with the hands. When you make it like the feet, he has no thumb to grab something. But fingers with a thumb looks unnatural. I like the his personality, realy good!

Here is the pig after critique from Doron and Bas. (Thanks Guys  )
Didn’t add texturing or perspective in this one. Later I’ll add a ribbon on the hat like the old English sailors hats.

Still playing…Keeping with the nautical theme.

I love this latest pose and look.

gotta love a man…who may be beyond the ā€œpleasingā€ looks of a young sailor he once was but shows his pride in his chosen career to the last. I like it…shows alot of character already!!

Keep going…each step is fun to watch…and us voyeurs gotta admire the talent and diligence and care you put into each piece!!

Just want to say ā€˜You are rocking!’ :+1:

Took the day off to run errands and such. Your positive words really compel want to forge ahead, thank you so much :+1:
I will no doubt be posting soon. Next character – the Turkey. :grimacing:
