Owl and the Pussycat

OOOhhhhh! I have to pay more attention. Great work, nice to ss something that isn’t smooth.

Here is my latest with all the objects. Fixed the guitar, jantim hope you like it better
I want to do a whole series based on the poem, with tropical isles piggiewigs, turkey and of course the runcible spoon!

Awwww how nice! 10/10 :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

PS:Would it be very complicated when the smooth waves would actualy be waves while touching the boat instead of a straight line? It looks a bit like ‘cut’ into place.

BETTER and BETTER!!! Now the illustration is more peaceful and looks less overfilled. Now you can think about making more objects to fill empty parts, like the flying fishes or the moon. Other objects and details can give some more finishing touch. Maybe the guitar needs more woodtexture. Let the illustration grow slowly now, in balance of colors and shapes. This wil be a great scene with the quality of an professional!! :+1: :+1:

Its not only the guitar i like better :+1: … the colors & characters look totally different from your previous render…very sexy cat you made there !!
And you must know by now that i am big fan of reflections in the water

JANTIM MASTER OF REFLECTIONS
Time for the mirror

Bas, you are going to have to start charging me for lessons pretty soon
Here are a few additions per advice. Thanks LemonNado, I completely missed the flatness of the water against the boat. Will have to recreate the flying fish, they are in Iomega limbo.

Great work! Five pound note?

No, I ask Jantim for some advice about reflections, pixoldumps and how to copy Meats. After this I make some dvd’s and sell it. For some advice like how to make some waves, I do not ask money.
How’s the G5? Many Sdram inside? I just put 2gb more just for ZB, and it works better now.
BTW nice moon :+1: :+1:

beautiful picture. The kittiy is my favorite

(THAT’s my Desktop Picture for a while!)

PS:If it would not be that old, I’d say the Mona Lisa was perfected with the help of this forum:p.

Here is the money bag, of course it is right next to the kitty  she’s no fool. Thanks for all the friendly feedback :+1: :+1: Makes me very happy!

Hawkline!!!

I love the 1st new boat post, The added moon is cool…but I think in it’s current state it takes over the scene in a human way rather than a romantic moon being happing he is providing the “candlelight” for these inconceivable lovers on the sea…I hope I am making sense here.

I would like the light to come from the moon behind, with him happy he is providing such a wonderful service, while the forefront of the scene is globally lit from that…I am not sure if I am making sense there but am not sure how to describe that in words at the moment.

And I hate to say this…I absolutely love your hard work here…but I think a Mandolin would be far more sexy than a guitar here and would fit the owl better.

I say that with love, because I really really love the work you have done on the new cat and owl…oh by the way…love that phyllis diller cigarette holder…a beautiful touch…and first together scene…with tweaking to come.

I will definitely be looking forward to your series…I enjoy your enthusiasm for your subject matter and am happy it is driving you to bigger and better things!!

Keep it up!!!

Excellent work all round.

A few artistic comments.

I still prefer the 2nd iteration of the cat , the colours are perfect. I think you have overly humanised it now and it’s begining to look a bit disturbing. Personally , I would go back to the cat like pose and the tortoishell fur. The owl is perfect and can get away with a more humanlike look due to the feathers spreading like fingers.

The backgrounds are excellent but I do love the night time more. It provides a better contrast that provides a feeling of depth to the ocean and highlights the moon as the only witness to the secret illicit romance between the two.

A few technical comments.
The texture/material on the boat, I would rotate around 90 degrees so that the planking ( I assume that’s what it’s meant to be) is running horizontally.

The guitar edges need to be made sharper. From my limited experience of acoustic guitars, they all have had sharp right angles from the front face to the sides.

Hope these comments help for the next iteration.
Keep up the good work.

It is good to see how the owl and the cat still are the head role players in this picture. I agree with Aminuts about the lightning and the guitar

I take hand-full from your moneybag to get payed

I am away from my computer will be back in a week. New ideas coming, appreciate the boat and the guitar picts. CyA soon … Shannon

Well I put it all together and here is what I came up with

NewOwlandPussycat.jpg

Wow, verry nice! New Background! New everything. I liked the moon shine serenade style with the tad naughty looking cat ;). But this is very nice!
If it is allowed… I have one point of personal opinion… And that is how high the boat rides on the water. It doesn’t look submerged enough to me. And it sits to straight. She sit’s in the front and the bow is slim, so I would dip it a tad to the front. Only a tick. And I would drop the boat at least 30% more into the water. But that is only my taste. It looks great the way it is!

Cheers

PS:Can’t wait for the continuation of the great poem!

Very enjoyable image!
