To call this an “amazing piece of 3D artwork” is just not accurate to me. The word “amazing” is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overused on this site, and it needs to be brought forth. Not that I’m some guru or anything(hardly), but to call this piece “amazing” is simply inaccurate. The 3D aspect of this piece isn’t what makes it a good(amazing) piece, it’s the compositing or the 2D aspect. The 3D is just ordinary and not that complicated. Hell, it was probably made from a base mesh from Zbrush, XSI, or some other pre-built basemesh.

Of course this has nothing to do with your work R1dd1ck, I just feel praise in certain areas needs to be reevaluted. Keep it up though, any kind of art is great to me. We just need to learn how to critique it on this site.

Steve is absolutely right. No artwork should be judged by the medium used. Wether it is 2D or 3D or photograph, the result is the only that matters. It is sad, that other sites used to measure the quality of artworks with the detail amount. Sad. I’ve seen many artworks with less details but much more spirit within.

It is a very nice work.

did you overpaint a textured composition or just a one material composition rendered in Max ? The position of the arms of the woman standing on them suggests more of a torque in the upperbody
did you use two renders ?..a side view and a more perspective one ?..either way its a fantastic blend of 2D and 3D, and perhaps a little 2.5D :+1:
