old Raziel

All of your work is awesome man, I’m a fan. :+1:

I think everyone in this community would love some tips on your Zbrush lighting and photoshop compositing techniques! You should make a tutorial or write a book so I can buy it

Do you start with base mesh or Zspheres? Do you unwrap your models at all or just use GUV for polypaint? Any tips on how or where I can learn some better compositing techniques??

Keep up the awesome work!

Top row stuff, perfect sculpt and love the pose. I thought giving a slight bend to the left leg can help the rhythm If its what you are looking for.
This is what I mean.

Awesome work indeed!

Hellz yeah! Soul Reaver!

I agree with Iezho. That very slight bend would help a lot. I love your take on this character, I was never too keen on the original design but you really polished it up and made it something inspirational. Awesome work

:Dthe best raziel ever made :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
great work

Good stuff. Well presented.

That was done only in Zbrush with Photoshop for post work? Or did you use an outside renderer.

great job
great game :+1:

Nice work. Makes me crave a next gen remake or reimagining of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver using your rendition of exiled Raziel. I would love to see your take on Kain as well as your take on Wingling Raziel. Because, imo, I hated the design for wingling and exiled Raziel.

You think you can upload some close up renders?

Thanks a lot Guys ,

KillahPriest - yes it’s only zbrush render and photoshop post work

silkyskeeter - see on page 2 , this is the original size of the image

Looking great awesome man, fit just perfectly with Aaron sim’s style which i like a lot as well. It must be a blast to work with him :sunglasses: :+1:

Hey guy, great job! I am a fan of Raziel (Soul Reaver) and their work. Could you show your light settings in zbrush. I can not get this back light bursts. As much as I drag the point of light to the side the light is still in the midst of the character. Thanks! :+1:

Gilberto,

Hopefully I can answer your question… In the lighting setup… If you click on the orange box that shows the position of the light. It will move it to the backside of the light sphere.

PSTCHOART gets an amazing lighting setup. I am very interested in his methods in both Zbrush rendering and Photoshop final touch ups. =)

Really nice! love the claws!

DBriggs

thanks ... drag the orange box I use ... but I want to put the light behind the matcap to use as a backlight. The zbrush, talks to hold the ALT key, but not sure. The light does not go back. :(

Gilberto Magno, matcaps are not lighted by standard Zbrush lights because they have lighting fully integrated in the shader.
Zbrush lights influence only standard shaders (those in the lower part of the shaders window).
Hope it helps!
