Us ‘long-timers’ are enjoying these lessons too, Matthew! If nothing else the review of the basics is a useful reminder, since it is so easy to overlook some of these things!
You do us all a great service…Thank you!
I agree 1000% Stonecutter. Im looking foreward, with anticipation for the next!
Thanks Matthew, It is nice to see what one does, when broken down the way this lesson was.
I must say that I am pleased that you picked one of my images to illustrate ZBrush painting. You are truely gifted in explaining things, I certainly found out the reasoning behind some of the things I just did, and took for granted.
Thanks again. Eagerly looking forward to lesson three,
DeeVee.
yowzer matt… this tut is awesome… i hope that by now pix has put you on the payroll…and if not they should…

Thanks so much aurick! I (along with everyone else) really appreciate the time and effort you have donated in helping us! And it is very easy to understand and follow along.
I’m glad that you’re all getting something out of this series. Believe me, after investing about 15 hours or so into writing and programming this lesson, it gets to where you start to wonder if the time is worth it. Your response is a great encouragement and vindication.
DeeVee, a big thank you to you for the donation of your Crossed Palms script! It was a tremendous help.

Hola Matt
Your precise and easy to understand approach to teaching the ABC’s of Zbrush and the hours it entails to create them are DEFINITELY appreciated by all newbie and oldie (?) alike. And the countless others that will find thier way to Zbrush in the future. That is some real posterity!
Please continue writing these indispensible tutorials, they are great!
Sweet jumpin’ jellybeans Aurick, what a wonderful walk through this is.

If all us ZBrushers lived in the same town we’d hold a ticker tape parade for you.
Let the booze flow
Hi Aurick - as a complete newbie I can assure you I find these tutorials an excellent and invaluable aid to getting to know the program. So far as I am concerned, and I’m sure I speak for many others, your time so generously given is greatly appreciated. A model of clarity. Thanks a million.
I enjoyed this tutorial, I learned allot with it also. It was really fun. Here are my results. This is also my first image I actually have completed with Z brush too, been playing around with it and learning for a few days but this is the first completed one.
Took into photoshop and played with levels and contrast other than that it was all Zbrush.
here’s my try at this tut…
This was great!!! I was becoming slightly wary of learning this program but your tutorial has put the excitement back in it! Thanks so much for doing these…they are a lifesaver!
Here’s my first completed try at a zbrush image…
Thanx, for the tutorial. This is my first attempt at a finished Zbrush pic. I’ll keep trying more of the tutorials. Zbrush is very exciting, but a bit overwhelming, never done 3D before. bye.
Hey Combo, that’s really a great first try.
Don’t be put off by 3D, I think you’ve got all the elements to really develop a style and plus, Zbrush is the easiest thing at 3D.
