quote from the other thread:
Pablo…Yes it’s just a wip., a quick capture of a passing thought…just wanted to capture/get down what I saw in my minds eye, before it escaped.
I saw the planet and it’s oceans as black and lifeless, and agree with you that lighting will be key to conveying what I saw…and the composition part also…thats why I haven’t played around too much with the background yet…easy to expand and design the space surrounding the main subject at this point.
Thank you very much for your great and professional crit, and very useful sugestions for improvements, and also for taking the time out to do so…Very much appreceated and welcomed.THANK YOU. :+1:

Got out my Meats Meier DVD .Introduction to ZBRUSH 3…and tried out a few things on this concept of mine,… that he goes into in the Illustration section of his DVD.
Just exploring and experimenting with this concept…lots of variations so far,…This is the last version of the day…Needs alot of work yet…hands oil ect…but I thought it kind of interesting, so i’m posting it…
He also explains in the illustration section, how a person can take five or six tools/models, and make over 50 different illustrations from those same five or six tools/models, …which is basically what I have been doing in my sketchbook all along…It’s a great way to learn new things and explore and experiment with the illustration aspects of the program…
Just thought I would mention that, just in case anyone happened to be interested in that fact. …GREAT DVD by the way.:+1: …I really like his works…lots of surealism, which is what I have a strong taste for.

Michael…THANK YOU… How about a… TRIP… to Disnyland…Best place in the world for that experiance…ARE YOU EXPERIANCED.
Myself,… I see an endless line of cars traveling up that stream of oil that he’s holding in his hand…with road rage in their hearts as they try o swim with their cars againt the current of oil…only to realize too late that they are going nowhere, and doing it in the fast lane…Now you know why he has that smile on his face…
TAKE CARE Michael my friend, and just kick back and enjoy the trip…

Doing some compositing in Painter #10 with some ZBRUSH versions of this concept that i’m working on.

You have totally nailed the prison art look and feel:+1:

You should try submitting your stuff to prisonart . org

WHERE IS A MODERATOR FOR THIS FORUM…DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO ONE, IF SO, PLEASE POST IT IN HERE, OR SEND ME A PRIVATE EMAIL TO WHERE I CAN REACH ONE,…THANK YOU.

Hey SpiritDreamer, you can click on the Report Bad Post icon at the bottom of every post.
Also, you can contact an administrator at the contact link below or at the following address:

People on these forums need to understand that every one brings a different style of art to the Zbrush table. That is suppose to be a good thing, but the attitudes on Zbrushcentral and other forums have become down right vicious toward other artists. If you can not provide some form of constructive criticism and a kind, respectful attitude to the artist displaying his or her work here, you should not post anything at all. You will just end up upsetting people and convincing others you are just another unprofessional jerk. Again, every one here should show respect toward your fellow Zbrush artists.

You have made some great improvements on the King Oil art SpiritDreamer. I like the surface details you put on the earth and the background. The image has an oil painting feel to it.

I like this last one, keep going! :+1:

Antisymmetry…THANK YOU…:+1:

THANK YOU SANTIS… I’ll get back to it shortly…As a piece of art, it might be more relative to those concerned about it in a few more days, as that oil expands in the ocean and starts to hit shorelines along the coast of the U.S.

On a positive note…I just received a network CG TALK PORTFOLIO Invatation request from Chris Bostjanick…Senior Modeler…Lucasfilm Animation…
The link to his portfolio is right below.
So I guess that I must be doing something right in here, and with my art…yes…
