New Works

http://www.artbyglenngallegos.com/P…ntingBig65.html

Thanks Eric… I sold that one…Link is right above…It now rest in the home of a guy living in New Mexico…It printed up nice,.I had it printed poster size on Giclee canvas…It was done using the Corel Painter program…
I also sold most of the other pieces that I painted…bright colors and all…some people just love and enjoy bright colors hanging on their walls.
I’ve also had, and do have alot of luck selling the tiles, prints and little boxes with my images printed and inlaid on their covers, tote bags ect.
That little one posted in this sketchbook very recently of the woman laying on the rainbow has made me alot of money, and still does, and is hanging on peoples walls all over the planet, along with alot of my other works, recent and older, thanks to the internet, and the new way of selling art.
That’s why I just have to laugh to myself when people start tearing apart my works, compositions and and style of sculpting and painting…like Kskovbo the guy who said what he said above…pretty rude and very unprofessional I think, but that’s just my opinion,… and alot of other people on this forum before him in this Sketchbook thread.
I enjoy what i’m doing, I don’t have to kowtow to anyone, or allow myself to be led around like a bull with a ring in his nose. I’m my own man, and free to explore and express my own visions, in my own way.
I’m still selling copies of works that I did years ago, and also my current works, 3d ones, and combo’s included…I know what will sell and what will not sell when it comes to my work…comes from alot of years of creating it, selling it, and building up a following that likes it enough to purchase it.
Anyway, thanks for posting the link to that painting of mine,…I haven’t seen it in awhile…Still looks good to me…and still is a part of me, even though it is hanging on someone elses wall…
TAKE CARE Eric…:+1:

You post on a online forum. Expect to receive critique. That you laugh at critique is in my opinion not a good thing. The painting posted above looks good though.

  • k

LOL…Then you better learn how to critique in a constructive and professional manner when you post in my thread, or I will just keep laughing at you, just like I am right now.LOL  …Your words were nothing more than an indication that you do not like my work, and nothing more…and were very much worth laughing at…That’s just my personal opinion though. As you so well put it in your last sentence.
Cheers

I must say I dont like the way you are presenting your works. Personally I find it too saturated, and the compositions I dont really like. Have you tried learning a 3d package and do some of this with a renderer like mental ray? Right now it just looks very “cut’n’paste photoshop here we go out of the door” kinda way. unfinished is the word that springs to my mind.
thats just my opinion.

  • Klaus

OK Klaus
Tell me in your above post, that you wrote in my thread yesterday,…where is the critique, other than I should buy and learn alot of new software, and telling me my work looks unfinished, when in fact this is after all my sketchbook and is supposed to be full of unfinished works. That’s what sketchbooks are…hence the word SKETCH/BOOK. Cut and paste, won’t look that way when they are finished and I refine the ones I think are worth finishing to the point of selling.

Your vampire is so inspiring! I love how your techniques are so mysterious! It looks like no other zbrush artist. I also love Elvis Presley so much. The hair is perfect!! Long live the king (as a vampire). The posing is so provocative. It is capturing the masculinity of a rock star and yet the sexiness of a Greek goddess! You have created something that will be burned in my mind forever. What a timeless piece of art you have made!

Can’t wait for the next piece from you!

Nice try…Klaus / Kskovbo alias…Spirit Follower…or whatever you choose to call yourself, perhaps Infintile Spirit would be more fitting, but then again, that is just my personl and professional opinion thought, for whatever its worth… Your real user name came up in my post reply section…Perhaps you should put as much effort and imagination into your own sketchbook as you seem to enjoy putting into mine…then you might have something worth posting.
Oh, and by the way, i’m still laughing, but even harder now. ALWAYS FUNNY AND A REAL PLEASURE TO SEE SOMEONE MAKE AN ASS OF THEMSELVES IN PUBLIC

The gold colored Woman with Teeth picture is very good. I like that a lot. :+1:

Erhm I am not the user ‘‘Spirit Follower’’. I only have one username on ZbrushCentral and thats kskovbo, hence my name Klaus Skovbo. I would never create a another profile to mock you, though I think that guy actually likes your work. So please do not post anything about me or any alias’s that you think I might have(?).

Anyway, this is the last post you are gonna receive from me in this thread.

Eric…THANKS MAN
Kskovbo THANKS
Spirit Follower THANKS  and if I have made a mistake concerning your identity, then I am for sure not above saying i’m sorry.
You might want to speak to a moderator, because when you reply on my thread, which has been the only two times you have replied anywhere in this forum, starting yesterday,…the name Kskovbo comes up on my reply to post section where I read who is replying to my thread, and it is happening at the same time that Kskovbo has replied…So like I said, you may want to talk to a moderator to get that problem corrected to end any confussion as to who is actually posting…

Congratulations, i may be wrong but i can see that
you used the Holzmeister skin set for texturing?

These are really great!

Cheers

Thanks Fernando  Yep i’m using the Holzmeister skin set…He put alot of work into that set of textures…Would be a shame not to use them…
That bat character i’m working on, is the third time i’ve tried them out…Lots of combinations to try out, and lots of fun seeing the results…something new with each comination I try out…possibilities are endless…GREAT TEXTURES FOR SURE, and also a GREAT GIFT that he shared with this community… :+1:

SAMURI LION HUNT 47.jpg

Hey Spirit!

Yeah, for sure it is a must have for texturing,
I love it too,
If you have some time take a look at my new sketchbook, the “turtle” creature
was textured used a combination of polypaint and “drag rectangle” some of
the Holzmeister skin textures! it is not only great for human skin, it can be used
for many aplications !

Nice work on the last image BTW!
Keep posting

SAMURI LION HUNT 47.jpg[/QUOTE] Spiritdreamer, i realize that you pretend to be some deep, mysterious surrealist or whatever but for the love of god, will you please post something new for a change I mean you have been posting the same picture with slight variations for 20+ pages now and it just gets a little old.

I know that you will reply with something like “You don’t understand me or my art, I have sold countless works around the world and have made millions!!”
Yea, and im a famous actress writing this from the set of Avatar 2: Electric Boogaloo…
