would really like to see some definition in the beak, less round and more angular with a sharp look to all of it.
Yeah, I am looking forward to working on the head. Still not got round to it yet though. I’ll be putting an update on later today.
Heres the hands at the moment. Im trying to make the fingers more finger like and less suasage like. Any info on how to improve on how they are now would be great!

Animatect, thank you very very much, I will start restructuring the back in a minute. I knew there was something wrong with the shoulder, but I couldn’t figure out what it was.
Cheers again!
Invest in these http://www.vilppustore.com/anatdvd.htm or if you’re on a budget http://www.amazon.com/Anatomy-Artist-Sarah-Simblet/dp/078948045X
You can’t get much better than Vilppu for structure.
Cheers and good luck

Cheers LilDragon. I am using the anatomy for the artist book just now, its really good. Thanks for the other link, I’d never heard of the vilppu stuff before. I may get some of them when I have some money .
Heres a quick update. I have tried to take onboard all of your suggestions, and I hope that I am getting closer to getting it right. Cheers again all!

Heres a quick update, I’m trying to get the general weight and shape of the trousers right. Im using the boots as a template to sculpt around, and I will be adding final details to a boot-free version of the trousers once I have the underlying structure right. Let me know what you think.
Cheers

Hello all,
Heres a couple of pics of how my model is shaping up. I need to sort out the bottom of the trouser legs, but aside from that I think they’re going ok. What do you think?

Hello all!
Here is an update of my progress at the moment. The tattoo has been placed on as a test, as there is still a lot of work I want to do to the basic skin texture before I start adding the details. I just thought I would post it to find out what you think. Feel free to criticise as harshly as you like, as its the only way I am going to make it better .

Hi Lead Ballon, you have a good idea, but I think you can get more out of it, I like your details, but you should give more time to check proportions and be more aware of the curves of the spine because without that the detail doesn’t look believable, take notice of how the muscules fit into each other so you don’t leave gaps, try getting the ear hole a little down.
I love the colors, that saturated purple gives an impressionist palet touch to your work.
here I put you some quick observations, check the curves, the angle of the pectorals, how the ribs goes to the oblicuos abdominalis, the abdomen and the butt.
I hope you find this observatios more usefull than anoying, and if yo are going to make some changes, remember to take your time and study the why of those corrections, there is no rush and that is the best way to learn.
think he needs a stronger more sleeker beak, something with more edges instead of roundness
yeah I agree, maybe eaven a little broken piece
Cheers for the advice animatect, I’ll have a look at the muscles again today before I get back to texturing. One of these days itll look right lol. I’m glad you like the way the colour is going.
Aceala, thank you for your advice as well. I tried to sort the beak a bit last night by roughing it up a litle. I’m having a few problems getting it to look right but I will post an update later on today.
Hello everyone. Here is a quick update. I’m trying to follow all the advice I have been given, and I think the model is looking a lot better, so thank you all again. I am still unsure about the small of the back, so I am away now to look up some reference to fix it. Anyhow, heres the update.

I want to cry
My last save of this model crashes ZBrush every time I try to load it. I’m down on 3-4 hours work. This sucks. Oh yea, due to time constrictions this character is just gonna be the torso on a plinth. At least this way I don’t have to look at that god-awful pair of trousers again
man, that is very frustrating, if you want, I can see if I can open it, I’ll save a copy with a difrent name and give it back to you to see if that solves the problem
