I do sympathise DiscoStu, but we gotta face facts, a lot more people in this Philistine world like Orcs and trolls than Duchamp and Rodin.

Just have fun making a superhero mate, and try not to think about the fact that 90% of people think Man Ray is a poisonous jellyfish!

i have 1 question to ask to aurick,

  1. when you say Action Hero, is it limited to famous heroes only like those in DC, Gotham comics or similar ?

Disco Stu, Slashpot, friends, Romans and countrymen! Who says an action hero has to look like a 4 color comics hero? What if the superhuman’s power is that his head is an apple and he looks really good in bowler hats? I guess we’ll have to wait for the rules, but I’m guessing we’ll have huge latitude in interpreting the look of our heroes.

I’m not gonna throw my hat in the ring just yet, but I’m excited!

the pic and wording suggest superheros but im tired of Wolverines and Hulks

so i was wondering if classic actions heros are counted too.like Rambo,Snakepliskin,Neo,Riddick…or video game actionheros like Solidsnake,Dukenukem,Gordon Freeman

but i guess we have to see for the rules on the 19th

There are indeed MANY great artists who can do brilliant human figures. Not a strong point for me, but I can’t resist. Should be fun anyway. We had a superhero challenge a few years back, before transpose, before subtools, etc. This should be waaaay better. I am anxiously awaiting the criteria. I told a friend of mine about this challenge today, and he is more excited than anyone. And he’s not even an artist. He just wants to think of new heroes.

I have to agree with the others who want to see an interview with Aurick. He’s been around sooo long (not that you’re old or anything, Matthew :wink: ) that we need to find out more about him.

I’m waiting to see exactly what the rules are but I hope to enter this one. Hopefully we’ll get plenty of time to make something! It’ll be interesting to see all the entries :smiley:
