Great works!! and really amazing skills!
Thanks guys!
Djurdja/Ana, fala puno!
Hey man! your last model is great! so inspiring!
You should to print it!
Sculpt based on a photograph by Eric Kellerman. It was lots of fun to do. I ran into surprisingly little trouble (except for the face without symmetry), considering how contorted the pose is. Couldn’t find good reference for the front, so I just winged it.
Even though I resolve every time to pay attention to all the tough areas, sooner or later I end up just mushing along until it looks good enough. I’ll stop being so dang lazy someday.

Great!
You’re getting better and better.
I wish I felt the same, but thanks! Maybe it’s the yellow color…
Love your work, and thanks alot for the inspiring time lapses : )
Yeah, rendering is important But Looking at your gallery it’s obvious You’re moving forward.
excellent. a pleasure to look, detail after detail.
fantastic work for sure.
i hope you will do more of these.

lovely sculpt.
I love it! Great work
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Still so much to improve though – I should focus more on details, I lose interest too easily.
Done with no reference. Once I finished the major forms, I decided I might as well practice doing wrinkles and pores. This isn’t something that comes naturally, so it was a bit of a slog, mostly until I forced myself to commit and get in there. Naughty Dog is unlikely to call anytime soon, but it’s a start. Many thanks to Frank Tzeng and Hossein Diba, whose tutorials on head sculpting were essential. I didn’t realize just how much you could do by hand!
I wanted to record the detailing as well, but zbrush would hear none of it.

Looks cool. He reminds me of Mel Gibson somehow.
Frustrated with my lazy-hazy knowledge of tough anatomy like forearms, I decided to finally do some ecorche studies. I’m thinking the accuracy is about 90% there… ish? Anyhow, I’ve also uploaded the .ztl, so that anyone can download them for reference if they want. Have fun and hopefully you’ll learn something!

I was inspired by Steve Lord’s excellent Dynamic Figure Sculpture course. His formula is simple: shape the form first, then aggressively carve in the muscles, then cleanup. Easy on paper, tough in practice! But the process gave way more vitality to these sculpts than my previous anemic attempts. I doubt you’ll ever read this, but thanks Steve!

Long time no post.
Got a new machine, figured I should start doing sculpts in my free time again.
Based on a 360 turnaround on the CroquisCafe channel on youtube.
Messed around in painter after to get a quick texture for presentation.
Crits and comments welcome, thanks for viewing!
Aw man, I’ve been missing you. I see you’re still in shape - the female is really great. It’s so good you’re back with anatomy studies! There’s enough of monstrers out there.
Realistic female forms are so refreshing
Hey thanks for the kind words! ‘Realistic’ sculpts like this are still my favorite thing to do.
