Here’s a little workflow breakdown I made for my process in creating this piece.
!beautiful work
wow, i will follow )
WOW!!! Such Dynamic! Much Realistic!
Incredibly shown movement. What a way with anatomy. I’m impressed.
Amazing sculpting - very dynamic - feels so real.
Nice piece. Thanks for the breakdown, and making the effort to share with us all.
I’m not sure how those gray scale color swatches translate into the drawing on the sculpt. Are you using Spotlight, or do you actually draw the elements like the dog’s face?
Sweet post
Tried your standard brush setting - never tweaked roll with the standard brush before,
set to a low zintensity with alpha 48 it gave a subtle slow building control and an almost polishing effect where required.
Many thanks for that tip.
Amazing work! TOP ROW!
very nice work!
Awesome work !
Thanks so much, guys!
ArtBot: I am not using spotlight, I am simply taking reference photos and sampling the grey values to get a realistic range for polypainting directly on the model. I am using a standard brush with a low RGB intensity (Zadd OFF) like an airbrush. Then I paint using those values to get more life in the sculpture.
Here’s a little image I made to help explain the process.
Amazing work ! I want to see more. Keep on the good work.
Thanks so much, everyone!
Yessss!!! TOP ROWness
Awesome sculpt! Such great attention to the detail in the muscles. And thank you for the breakdown!
CONGRATS!!!
Awesome work! Thanks for that little polypainting tip. I come from a 2D background, and most of my stuff is done for use in 2D illustrations, so that will be hugely useful in my workflow. Hadn’t even thought of altering my values by using polypainting. Congrats on the top row!
Great sculpture! The greyhound’s forms really pop and the fibrous/sensuous form breakup (like on his action limbs) is very nice touch.
Also, ty for the tip on your standard brush setting, I will try it tonight.
Curious, at what form/detail stage do you like to use that brush?
Thanks so much again, guys!
Re: Takai:
I use my custom standard brush at all stages after the initial block in. It’s so useful for both roughly plotting in muscles and for finer details.
…in French your GreyHound tutorial (Like that I have made for Etcher for example ?
Have fun Sculpting!
