Awesome job!
I know that Pixologic has already come out with the 3D Print Exporter for creating printable file types. I wonder if there is a machine that can print 3D models based on a similar file type. This would be amazing if we had the ability to export our polypaint info as a file for automated coloring and printing on 3D models.
Anyone know of anything like this yet? or if it would be possible?
Aberrant: Good idea man! Ive never heard of the software yet, though im sure its being developed at the moment. It would need to be intrinsic to the printing software and also the printer - Perhaps we need to look outside of the normal printing industry to the more industrial engineering aspects - perhaps they would have such a printer…
Exactly what I was thinking, if we already have the volume and forms that seems like half the battle. The colors used in the polypaint could correspond to a point on the model and it seems as though everything could be automated, including the color mixing (using primary colors like printers)
Nice work dude, Good to see someone else from Brisbane on here
Kravit: Wow man thank you - I’ve been a follower of your work for years ever since you released those pics of the female head with that amazing hair!!
Unfortunately, heading to the US for work in april - wont be in Brisbane much longer!!! Surprised to see you still here in Brisvegas - I would have thought you’d be at weta - or ILM or BLUR or some such insane quality studios!!!
hehe, yeah that was a long time ago
I love doing hair for characters, but no longer have access to any decent hair tools.
It would be nice to go and work for those big studios if they would employ me
I’m slowly drying up my funds living here in Brisbane. Probably need to head back to Perth and find a new career path if things don’t pick-up
Where are you working in the U.S ?
Do you have msn btw, can chat over that, since I can’t send PMs on here. MSN: [email protected]
or just email me.

Hi Hazardous.
She have very good likeness in her face, I like where this is going. Try one thing for fun lift a bit tips of the mouth, may be it will bring even more cuteness ( maybe :). But still very good WIP can’t wait to see more.
aliasfx: Hey thanks man, I will try that!!
