hey everybody just wanted too show this piece real quick. fairly proud of this model! hers the ruff sketh and the finished model. this is a gun i created for the cgtalk spy project. hope ya like!

awesome Job Loki, Did you use your hand drawing on an alpha plane as a guide? I love the detailing you used. looks like a functioning weapon!

yup. i built the basics in maya and went full blast with projection master. i came up with all the reasons that it looks like it does. i tried to think of functionality along with look i wanted to create. tx for the comment! :smiley:

thought i was pretty close to done with this and had someone point out a bit of a flaw with the eyes so i went ahead and reworked the eyes. think im much happier with this result. lemme know what ya think! cheers :smiley: [goatman-eyes.jpg]

I would say that the arms look too long for the rest of the body, especially the forearms and fingers, also the head is too small. The torso looks great. Keep going, looking forward to see how it turns out.

hey dave tx for the comment. i did shorten the arms definately rite bout that. the head is close to what i was looking for. going for more of a superhero stature with him. he counts out at about 8.5 heads or so. heres a little bit of an update for him. fitting him with new parts. still thinking about how i wanna deal with the boots yet. the helm has been finished a while. any comments are welcome! cheers :smiley: [tal-jahar-3.jpg]

head update for the gaurd. all i can say is that i really love the polish brush. it works really well for smothing out organics when they are sculpted with the clay and rake brushes, just brilliant!! :smiley: [head2.jpg]

retopology moving forward. had the hands done but zbrush decided that it had enough abuse and crashed on me. cost me another 2 hours. i did kinda break the save often rule…hmmmm… would love to hear any comments on the flow of the topology. its the first time ive made a push to really get retopology down in a serious project.
