Mordor orc

WOW, Strike that’s AWESOME! You are making it hard for me to decide…this weekend I need to fix one of my guitar amps, but I also want to buy ZBrush2!!! I had it once, but my set-up would not let ZBrush2 run well. Now I’ve updated.

I read all 18 pages at CG-Talk too!!! That’s so cool how you thank each individual member in your posts!!
Man this Orc looks so real!

Strike,
Great job! If you are not going to use this guy in the challenge, I can’t wait to see what you do use.
mm

Welcome back, Strike. I missed you! Great integration of the character into
his environment. The lighting is very well done too. Good to see you visiting here again…

Dickie

You should post more often.
Great model, great comp.
You should do a mini tut on those eyes…both the good one and the “bad” one.

Great model!!! Great in every aspects !!!

Oh My god! its superb work *****

:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

:small_orange_diamond:Strike:small_orange_diamond:!!!

Long time, no see, friend!

What have you been doing, I worried that you were dead

Freaky image, and I mean that in a good way. Nice work, I will be following your progress…

:grimacing:small_orange_diamond:grimacing:Damn that looks amazing

Thanks for your comments guys !

JaPoZi : The chainmail has been done in 2.5D, ring by ring. The workflow could be different, such using mask with alphas, but i like to use 2.5D sometimes  It saves alot of memory.

Abyssis : thanks alot !

xsiFlasher : I wish i could, and wish to have more free time

Drummer :

ilusiondigital : The workflow is classic, such as the 1st head of my challenge. Zpheres for the structure, then adaptive skin, adding details in Projection master, inflat some parts for wrinkles enhancement, masking and deleting some parts (eyes, mouth). Thanks !

GORILLA : Difficult choice uh ? Personaly i prefer creating than repairing  . You to choose. Thanks dude !

monstermaker : thanks for the compliment. I wish to have time to finish this time

Dickie : thanks alot !

Giantsun : Don’t always have time to post, so when it’s the case, i try to  Thanks dude.

SolidSnakexxx : Glad you like it. Even if i think it could be better (especially on details and shader), but nevermind, i only did it in 4 hours… so…
Thanks !

SN RAJPUROHIT :  Glad you like it !

Meats Meier : Hi Meats ! Glad to see you man ! Still alive yea  . I’ve been a bit busy since i started at Crytek at the end of past year, so yea, didn’t have alot of time to post personal work.
Great you like it. As i said, i think it could be better, because i didn’t spend too much time on it, but nevermind, it will be better next time  Glad you like it friend. Keep up amazing work ! :+1: You’re a great inspiration for alot of artists.

pixelsoul :  Cool you like it

:+1: how true :+1: 'coz: great artists are g_r_e_a_t people too :sunglasses:

Abyssis, Sébastiens fan :sunglasses:

excellent. totally top row quality! good for you.:+1:

Its always a little scary trying to make a character that has been seen the world over, but you’ve really pulled this one off with excellence!!! I enjoy your depth of field it really makes the image look photographic.
Keep pushing those pixols!

Hey Strike,

I really missed you, it’s been some time since you last posted here - Great to see that you’re back and still kicking!

Since you’re working for Crytek now, I assume that you moved to Germany, right? I live in Austria, Vienna, it’s quite near to Coburg, hehe.

One thing I always wanted to ask you, but forgot about it every time…: How are you aligning the different parts, so they fit together? I really love ZBrush, but the Gyro makes me sick - It’s so unprecise and the controls are really awkward. I’m still trying to figure out how you’re doing this kind of stuff inside of Z. Gyro? A hell lot of layers? Multimarkers? If so, a nice, little description would be highly appreciated!

Hope you’ll start to post more frequently again!

:grimacing: oh my gooooooooood this is awesome work.İ think , you must make the tutorial about this work.congrulations for CG Challenge …:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Totally love it , both of your orc works look as if they came straight out of the movie.

I tried replicating this one but with a nose. Still cant get a lot of details on it though , even though i have 1,5 gb ram , the head gets quite annoying to work on at 1.5 mill polys.

Hi Strike,

I knew this was one of your images as soon as I saw it. You have a very unique and amazing style that is all your own. It’s these types of images that inspire the rest of us. I really really need to try out ZBrush.

Once again, incredible work.

-Rob

BTW: Have you ever thought about doing training videos? (You’d get a lot of my money)

Pilou :+1:
