Monday Night Challenge- Landscapes and Terrain 6/28- 7/5

Well, here is one that I always wanted to try & do to see if I could. This is strictly 2D, flat paint, variations of one shade of green and totally done using only the smudge brush. I used different alphas, and brush sized as well as varying degrees of colour blend. This was really fun to make. And no I wasn’t shooting for realism…

Glad you all decided to have a catagory for landscapes.
For Dr. JJwow, could you please share you setting for the material you used to create your leaves and flowers. Thanking U in advance.

Fire Lake

Mostly 2D painting with the exception of the tree trunks which are a tool I made some time ago. And I used the hook brush to bring out the branches.

try a moment

Very tricky and very good, trds :+1:

It looks like it was a countryside type of landscape to start with. But it’s now very Mega-City One. Is that a vulture perched on a Skyscraper?

Alan.

No, It’s a stork  :+1:
Pilou

OK whats the IRC ZB channel now?

Ok - i think these works are well done.

But i would like to see some proper compositions
with sketches/thumpnails…whether within ya app
or more better analog!

-concerning perspective issues
-a clear cut between front/mid/far partz of the picture
(whats the right engl. expression 4 this)

(I am just a demo user - will effort zb2 in fall…so i would really like to see someone else doing this…)

-some warm colors supporting the highly detailed front
-the mid with decreased detail but with more directional
function…leading towards the (fluchtpunkt:) (fading?)point within the horizon. no detail but milky look in the far partz.

I dont care about the subject -
i would take some Lotr for reference…
another nice reference would be some barock (->trees)

I will try this myself…later
