Hi,
Some update with the body. I lost some details on adding volume to the hair on the face but I’ll redo this.
I don’t think there’s an e at the end, I think it’s just Minotaur. Anyway, This is coming along well but the biceps look way too big for the body from the front. I think the problem is in the shoulder size compared to the bicep. Increase the shoulder size or decrease the volume of the bicep and you should be good to go.
The hair is looking nice. I noticed something about the structure of the back so I did a quick paint over. I hope you don’t mind.
Peace-NickZ.

ITS A MINOTAUR FOR GODS SAKE!!!..who has the minotaur blueprint this week?..sheeesh…its a beast with a bulls head…stop drawing all over this guys excellent image and just celebrate it…If you want picture perfect anatomy…go buy a camera
Herizo - I’ve gotta go with nickZ on the anatomy on the back. While ministerart makes a valid point that we don’t know for certain what the anatomy on the back of a minotaur looks like…chances are it’s grounded in reality, so having realistic human muscle structure for the upper body is probably your best bet.
Loving the work as a whole though, maybe thicker hair about the chest and a little more matted together. Right now it looks like he took a comb through it.
I’m guessing you haven’t given him a look yet as he has that “oh god…I’m in a T-pose!” look Once he’s got that evil gleam in his eyes he should really start to shine.
my 2cents.
Sorry for my intrusion, but Minister, Nick is as great an artist as you are and he is just giving pointers on making it look better, which is the whole point of the zbrushcentral forums. I am sure you too agree with Nick´s overpaint, since you also know VERY well your anatomy. My 2 Cents
And Herizo, keep up the great work, its rocking cool!
Cheers guys!
Im impressed by how youve managed to drag out the shape of the arms and torso from the neck and keep alot of detail. I have struggled when trying a similar thing as the geometry I pull out lacks the toplogy for detail. Is their a trick to such a process?
Niicee!! all the model so far is awesomee the anatomy! is fantastic! thank you so much for sharing the hair workflow!
That is all I am trying to do is give a nice pointer. It is a nice sculpt, but it has a human torso so the back structure was throwing me off a bit when I looked at it.
The paint over is just a suggestion for what it might look like with human anatomical structure. Doesn’t mean it wont be cool if the suggestion is or isn’t taken, just trying to lend a hand. (From what I see.)
This shouldn’t offend any one! If it does, then I could always just delete the post, no biggie!
nick - I’m sure you’re fine. Peeps should be happy to get some CnC from you.
If someone has a problem with receiving crits on their work then they shouldn’t be posting here…
People are posting on this forum to receive crits. In fact its part of the reason he posted his work. Nickz crit is appropriate, I dont see what the problem is. That being said pretty nice work so far. Youve captured a nice powerful look for the character, my suggestion along side with nickz’ is that maybe the hands should be very slightly bigger and also that currently the biceps bug me a little. They just seem way to swollen considering they are not even being flexed. I find that this would make it more difficult for the character to move his arms to his sides and whatnot. Thats my personal preference though, I like things to appear as though they could be functional. Overall though I think your in the right direction;)
Thanks all for your reply,
I agree with NickZ, I will remake the back 'cause i’ve drawn it randomly (thanks for the tips) and will refine the biceps too. I knew that something’s wrong about the arms but I don’t know what… thanks again. For the hair,
I will retouch it once I will fix all volume of the entire body.
benhobden: I use mostly the clay brush, and sometimes the Dam_Standard brush for streaks.
Update coming soon.
I like the way you did it great job
update with the back entirely resculpted, decrease a bit the volume of the biceps and made some details of the hand.

Very nice work! Now give him some legs!
Great update. I think your changes have improved the model nicely. Im looking forward to seeing this completed.
Nice improvements, well done. It would appear that seeking and receiving critique is a very valuable process. Huh, who woulda thought?
Hi all,

Looking pretty good, I would say your overall scales seem to work pretty well. I think the knees need to be reworked, and the cloth pieces in front and back need to be reworked as well. Right now thos wrinkles arent really flowing to well and I think you have too many of them. For stuff like that its relatively easy to get reference. Simply hang some cloth you have in your home in a similar way. Pretty good update though overal
