Thanks Klicek

Thank you Intervain and GETPRIMITIVE, it is rendered in VRay. There is an HDR environment and 2 lights with HDR softboxes plugged into them as a texture. Here is an an image of an early lighting/sss2 shader test, am looking to add some clothes over the weekend if I have time with a higher res render.

Here is the Chimp dressed up and ready for his class picture… I think he just really looks awkward

with cheap gloss effect…

Was always fascinated with Centaurs, here is my second attempt at sculpting one. Below is a video with a 360 turntable and some video capture of the sculpting process. The initial base mesh for the horse was from a sculpt I did a few years back out of ZSpheres, enjoy the video!

Very nice! He looks awesome and the pose is great! I really liked your timelapse video! Did you have to do the whole project in one sitting for it to go through like that? Do you have a tutorial link you may have used for creating the video? I might like to play around with that it was really cool. I enjoyed watching your process!

Sweet video Mikey! Aaaaaand of course your sculpts are ight

Haha thanks Corey, now get back to work!

Clintus Maximus, thank you! No I screencaptured the first part of the video combing the parts, and the rest are clips using the F History in the Movie panel. They are not done in one sitting, whenever I need a break, I will backtrack to the first undo in the timeline then click F History to record.

This is beyond good, this is Top Row quality. It would be a shame if it wasn’t included there.

Fantastic work.

Caught that Centaur on your sight and drooled all over my keyboard!!!

I’ll be the first to Cograt you for Top-Row Status right now before it happens!!!

Amazing-Dynamic work!!!

Than you EricShawn, I appreciate the kind words

Haha thank you remcv8, glad you like him

Whoah! Amazing sculpt; there is a clear sense of motion with this piece, and it really adds to the already stellar anatomy. All in all, the whole thing comes together to make it very interesting to the viewer, which is a big part of making great art. Many kudos your way :+1:

That’s one of the most dynamic centaur sculpts I’ve seen! Lots of energy. Awesome!
Looking forward to the timelapse, I have it bookmarked.

I know I already commented once, but I have to again after watching your vid and studying this model.

Are you sure you’re not Frank Frazetta reincarnated?

It’s that good.

:+1:

Thank you nagulov, but your sculpts are extremely dynamic as well with great anatomy. I like how you begin without using symmetry, I’ve been attempting to break my models out of bindpose earlier for sculpting.

Thank you haz3y!

Thank you EricShawn, I wish!

Here are some minor tweaks in the render, taking a break from the project to work on something new.

Awesome sculpt!

Thank you chief71

Cool works! Great sculpt!

Thank you Lexxx69!

Here is a render of a model I made for print recently and wanted to share. I also captured the sculpting process and made a timelapse video if you would like to check it out!

Easter Pig I did for 3D printing, rendered in ZBrush. Sculpting and texturing took around 1.5-2 hours from a ZSphere, and video playback is at 5X speed. Fun to make, hope you like him!
