daconia - yes! you are right, the shoulders need some wings, or rather what i think i will do is create a type of “flying squirrel” system for his entire body and make him a quadraped(still debating). Thanks!

Ok well, I did a little bit of scuplting, and now im going to retopologize to add a “flying squirrel” suit attatched to his anatomy. Ive never tried retopping a whole body so this is going to be rough

Hey, that’s pretty cool. I love the idea of using a mask brush to hash out the topology lines. Very ingenious!

I like that alien a lot :):+1: just the ears feel too stretched out rather than growing that way… maybe add some curviture to the edges

Yeah your definately right, they feel severely unnatural and as you said, stretched. Will definately be putting mroe work in that. Also thanks for the tip! Hearing from you means alot, I love your work, especially your recent “musketeer”.

hello to my fellow zbrushers,
Some nice work guys keep it commin…

I did have some questions for you guys that would like to help…

first would anybody recomend fully sulpting all details into models or leave some up to texturing…

second is there a way to render a turnaround in zbrush or would it have to be re-imported into another 3d app.

lastly, if anybody has any links/tutorials…etc. for some advanced texturing

I tried for a long time getting the likeness of bale’s “Patrick Bateman”, but after a long time of epic failure I gave up. I hope you guys sorta like it.

hey, its been a while since my last post, and that’s because Ive been in school learning 3dsmax as my 3d app. I succeed to free up enough time to work on this sculpt.

Hey Guys, I’m at the last stretch of work, and I thought id post some progress, as well as some steps. I did everything using very basic geometry in z brush and then used topology tools to recreate a mesh. This was my first experience doing a full body using re topology and although i would have done some things differently… I will say that I will NEVER go back to being a vert pusher!

Whats left is to fix my hands which look very bad (I didnt sculpt out the hands much… too anxious to start the retopology) and fix some general polyflow including Ngons.

Please let me know what you think and if I could fix some areas.

Id also like to state that I modeled my basemesh after an Image I got from one of Alex Oliver’s threads. I forgot to screenshot the one I made so i pasted a picture of his, someone let me know if they think this is bad form.

Also if anyone knows how to change the thread title i would very much appreciate said information!~!
