Obviously you learned a lot by copying the old masters, it’s awesome! :+1: :+1: :+1:
When I looked on the original photo (and I had a hard time figuring out which one was the photo, the people on it are allmost the only thing that give it away) and your final render, it seemed to me that the original David has just a bit more texture (marble) or grime on it in some places. The render looks very clean and smooth. Maybe Ryan can tell how ‘dirty’ or smooth the statue was, though he was probably not allowed to touch it! :laughing:

-Gopher - yes, I use FG and GI. The lights are photometric lights placed inside a building made similar to the real one.

Plakkie - yeah, I definitly need to texture it, I have couple marble statues at my house to help me out with this one :slight_smile:

Hi, I’m relativly new to Zbrush so I was wondering how you were able to pose your character? Did you start with zpheres? and if so, did you use x semetry?
Iv’e been trying to create firgurs in kneeling or fighting poses but I don’t want to turn of X semetry and try and copy myself on each sire. Do I have too?

thrive, I am wondering the same thing, because I loaded a premade model into zbrush and I didnt even know how to adjust and model the arms, legs, and the models position and everything, so I am wondering how it works as well. :confused:

only one thing this david looks angrier than the original . . but… man who am I to say anything… it’s an awsome piece …
