anyone working on 3.1?

I’ve been working on 3.1, and apparently it’s released today (you probably already know). If you haven’t seen it yet you’ll be blown away. It is much faster, a lot more stable, and looks fantastic. The speed these guys work at is quite incredible, no sooner had I looked at a beta than there was another one waiting. Once again Z3 becomes even better value than it already was.

Those who bought Z2, and are now looking at 3.1 without having to shell out a bean, have gotten one of the best deals in software history!

PS: Glen Southern is one of my favourite artist/teachers. His work is superb, and that statue image by Zack Petroc (which I’ve never seen before), is one of the single best 3D pieces I have ever seen. I’m still in shock! Imagine David walking all the way from Rome to rescue Jesus and Mary from behind the bullet proof glass at St Peters! And the touch of putting his own name where Michelangelo’s was on Mary’s breastband was inspired (if perhaps a trifle grandiose!). But then he’s probably earned the right as much of Mary is obscured by Christ in the original Pieta, and he’s even fixed the problem of scale (On the original Pieta if Mary stood up she’d be about twice the height of Christ). The more I look at it the more amazed I am… that is just unbelievable work Zack, congratulations!
(PS. I’m sure ‘Dave’ would be extremely grateful to Zack for his generosity in the ‘downstairs’ department! )

For myself, I am very grateful to have the opportunity to learn at the feet of these masters. The few bucks charged for their efforts is almost ridiculously miniscule.

I’m not sure if Alex can answer this question, but do you plan on uploading ZBrush for Illustrators by Meats Meier ?

I don’t mind paying for the tutorials, it’s just the shipping costs are expensive if I had to order the DVD.

Very interesting series of tutorials…
