any tips for a plodder like me 
thanks pygmalion! Itās really in how much you practice and know your anatomy. Itās kinda like, for lack of a better analogy, someone asking you to identify someone in a police sketch. You have the mental picture, but most people canāt draw or know anatomy well enough to translate it to sketch or sculpt. So familiarizing yourself with the technical aspects of zbrush and getting acquainted with human anatomy will enable you to do things fast and how you see and everyone else sees it. Everyone can see a sculpt and tell if itās wrong or right, but canāt explain what exactly without the anatomy know how, or the technical aspects of zbrush to sculpt it out. So learn zbrush, learn your anatomy, and practice, practice.

3dmob ,yes your wright you can never be too familiar with anatomy .
I think its likenesses that often bog me down .
I know youāve seen the model Iāve been using .
sheās based on Marinka from 3dsk it"s accurate but man it took long enough .
your superman sculpts look pretty darn good (you nailed the big guy) and in that time , killer work man .
Pygmalion: Yeah the likeness part is something that gets easier the more you do it. Like youāll remember how to structure the shapes and position them based on instinctive memory. You wonāt spend days getting someoneās likeness down. Best of luck, and my recommendation, just have fun and enjoy every sculpt and donāt dwell on the same sculpts over and over.

in your picture it seems to be too hard.
I clicked the thread icon because of the subtly self confident expression.
Very nice knees. However the second joint knuckles of the fist could be sharper and less bulbous.

xexex: thanks, and that is the total point of the contest, she int suppose to look sweet. If I went with a sweeter and delicate face it would break the persona. So Iām glad Iām on the right track.
Rory: totally agree on the knuckles, but Iām not finished, I quickly bent her fingers to place the sword and get a feel for it, so hand wasnāt intentionally sculpted like that. Thanks.
