Master and Servant - Last Update 5.02.05 on page 8

This is really good… I love the detail you’ve put in, and the expression on her face… haa, priceless! The whole scene looks great, well done.

I have one small critique, the kangaroos left leg… To me it looks like it could come out a little more from under the body, so it moves more towards the right of the screen. Two reasons for this; one, the space on the bottom right of the image seems to want something in it to my eyes, in order to better balance the image. Two; his leg being so far under his body like it is, he looks like he might fall over or twist his ankle. You could bend it a little at the knee and move it up and to the right, make it look like he is moving for his next footing, might even add some more motion to his movements.

amazing. a real z artwork. Very cool scene, characters and composition. The only one thing that bothers me is that the road is too bright background for the hotdog man. I think he is looking much better in front of the vegetation, i think.

:grimacing: CARACA! (sorry, it’s a brazilian expression  )

Fantastic work! Congratulations!:+1:

I really like the background and the details in the plants. The only critique I have is your shadows. Although each object as itself looks decently self shadowed, they don’t seem to be casting shadows upon each other very effectively. Sorry if this has been already discussed in a previous post, and you still have to render the shadows. BTW 86 the star’s lense effect and trail. I think it really takes away from the beautiful clouds you made.

I can’t believe the amount of work that you put into this. Very impressive!

Hi guys, that’s the end! (can some moderator rename my thread ‘again’ to “M&S: Psycho Girl and The Mutant Kangaroo” please? )
This is my final image. This is not soooo different from the last one I posted here but I corrected a lot of small details and added a little of dof and some more plants in the foreground. I also changed some colors. I know that the image is not perfect and that some people don’t like the subject and some options I took but this is the great thing about art in general: different interpretations from different observers. I think I reached my personal goal for this image and surely with more time I can improve it but I’m glad I finished it even without a lot of time in the last weeks. The best thing for me is that I had a lot of fun creating this image and I’m pretty sure some more people will laugh looking at it and this is priceless
Thanks a lot for all your support and suggestions that helped me to improve the image.
Congratulations for all of you guys that finished your works and shared some information posting “how to” to help others in the same challenge.

Now I can rest and move the rest of my things to the new apartment!

I hope I can have some time tonight to create some more mini-tutos and post some more information about the image.

Cya and good luck to everybody!
Kris

Here’s a full resolution version where you can see all the details. The image is a compressed 50% quality JPG (about 2mb). The final TIF image (uncompressed) looks much better.

CGTalk Master & Servant Challenge Winners Announced

WOW!!! :grimacing:
Thanks a lot!

Well, I never expected to win again, that’s for sure! I’m really glad that I won the challenge using about 95% ZBrush for this work. ZBrush is a powerful tool for normal maps/displacement maps but it’s also great to produce entire pieces like this.

Congratulation Antropus!
Winning once is a noteworthy accomplishment, winning twice is outstanding. You should be proud of your achievement!
