wow, thank you for so kind comments:) Really appreciate it!
It took about two weeks from concept to hipoly.

mkk316: ha-ha)) thank you man, glad you like it))) Actually I didn’t try to make a ā€œunitā€ that’s pretending to be better then Blizzard did)) I’m a big fan of classic Starcraft space mariner. And I’m really grateful to the guys from Blizzard Cinematic that they didn’t change the traditions when they were making Starcraft 2 trailer.

samar vijay: thanks a lot man for the comment!

gordon-v: thank you. I’ll post wireframes in a minute. I was asked a similar question about the workflow on 3dT forum. If you don’t mind I just paste here that answer:
the main points of workflow are that: I made quick base mesh over base lowpoly model. it helps to understand the balance and proportions on early stages. I don’t think about right topology at this point. Only the form is important to me at this stage. When I happy with it i fix topology and make 1 iteration of subdivision. It helps to get started with details and good mesh really quickly. after this nothing special - just tweaking points)that’s all) hope it can help

Bingo_Jackson: ))))))

Great piece Vitaly.

very nice man , no word to say

Love the design and the details to this model. Really nice piece of work.:+1:

Hey Vitaly, you’re a very talented 2d artist as well, could you maybe post the concept drawing for this as well? I’d really love to see it  Please and thank you.

Do you happen to know what sort of polycount companies use for cinematic characters or ones for films?

What was your work flow like in making this?

Great work again though. Can’t wait to see what you make next.

Very Nice !!! :+1:

this one is great i already said on another site…but i would love to say that again
and i think it looks more like GOW style than starcraft
cos starcraft suit design not just looks cool…but truly functional(almost)…but gow one looks just cool(…just my personal improvidence  )
the only part could be more improved is the head…anything else is outstanding…
keep inspired us man
Jason

Wow! The amount of detail is astounding! Thanks for sharing this. It’s always a pleasure to see wips from the pros of the industry. Pls post more.

OMG, this is insane. :grimacing: The details in the armor are perfect. GOW, starcraft, what the hell, this is awsome. :+1: :+1:

thanks for sharing the wire.
