Textures and mesh by VoroN-Art.RU, thanks for sharing.

Pepsi Vray render LF (web).jpg

looks … low poly ? The render is nice, but way too low poly ;f

Because mesh and textures was in low poly. Sorry :frowning:

Yeah too low poly, even we can count how many vertexes on the round. I like this lighting.

I’m really surprised that the Pepsi cans didn’t get lots of replies. I know they are low poly but they look so real and the details are just amazing. I would really love to know the whole process for the making off. I now that you shared you process before but it’ll really make more impact to now how you deal with every render mood.

Thanks Eiad, as I said, geometry and textures owns to Voron-art.ru, so lets see an small lighting and render tutorial.

Lighting scene, 3 Vray lights with different colors.

Use an HDRI image for the environment lighting and reflections, try to use an image with the same textures, lights or place as your scene.

Render Setup.
Activate Ambient occlusion and depth of field using the camera target as the starting point to blur the scene (activate “get from camera”)
To reduce the noise, go to adaptive subdivision image sampler and use Clr Thresh.

After that, go to pfotoshop and add contrast, more intense lights, chromatic aberration and some noise.

Thats it, very easy.
And yes, I know that is in low poly but I forget to activate the Turbosmooth modifier.

Thank you for your swift respond.

Don’t get me wrong, the low poly gives it more fidelity as a piece of art. If it was like any pepsi cans I’ve seen around I really wont be surprised but because this was low poly I was totally hocked.

I was interested on the maps and material setup too because they depict both realism and stylization. I hope I’m not asking too much.

Thanks for sharing and really good job on your work. I hope to see more soon.

Dont worry Eiad, I like share my work (sometimes good, sometimes worst).
Anyway, here they are. Easy materials with only diffuse and bump. Vray make it more realistic, thats the trick.
You can download the original scene and textures from www.Voron-art.ru or http://3d-character.ru/download/for-3ds-max/30-old-pepsi-can-3d-model.html

Thanks Eiad, I´ve seen you works and are awesome. I have too much to learn after seeing your works.:+1:

Your renders are beautiful. Do you think Vray is better than mental ray. Im thinking of getting Vray soon.

Thanks dude.
Vray? Better than Mental Ray? OF COURSE
I was a Mental fan before working with Vray.

HI Skywalker!!

Great and solid renders, some of your characters looks supercool too!!.. And thanks for the little explanation of the vray render.

PS: Do you have information to share about your short?

Un abrazo desde el sur tio!!! =)

Victor Marin

Thank you Victor!!!
I´m sorry but mu shortfilm is frozen by now but I will post more character renders.

Las imagenes de tu web son brutales, enhorabuena.

Earlier sketch of a Lenin statue for a videogame project.

the bottom lips doesn’t look right to me. i’m think it’s sticking out too much on the side. i’m assuming the part in the middle is facial hair.
nice render btw. love the vines.

Thanks for comment Tyrone70, I´m working on it.
Here is another render, comments will be wellcome.
