Apparently whatever the issues were have been fixed in the just released 4r8p2 patch:
ZBrush to Keyshot Bridge is now compatible with Keyshot 7.
The Keyshot 7 notice is back up and upgrades are greenlit.
Awesome news - just installed KS 7 and all seems good!
Since updating to ZBrush patch 4r8 (and both patches) my Keyshot 5.3 will not work. I keep getting the error message âUnable to connect to external renderer.â Now what do I do?

That sounds like a Bridge issue to me, but thatâs a guess on my part.
I just Installed keyshot 7.2, but it looks like there is a problem. After Shift+R nothing happens, keyshot doensât start, there is a message though
âUnable to connect to external renderâ
Not sure if that is a problem with keyshot 7.2 or Z2K bridge.
Strange thing is when I start keyshot first then Zbrush, it works but not the other way around.
It is frustraiting to shutdown zbrush, start keyshot then start Zbrush again in order to send a file.
I had keyshot 6 there before and Zbrush 4R7, but I uninstalled them both before I intalled Zbrush 4R8 P2 and Keyshot 7.
Is anyone else getting anythin like that or itâs just me?
Similar situation.
If KeyShot 7 is working now, then the rendering does.
But if the KeyShot 7 is turned off then ZBrush gives an error.
help please
