to often overlooked supper hero .
you made him a bad a#% great work

pygmalion - yea Aquaman is one of my favourites, hopefully get time soon to finish off Wonderwoman. your Medea Render is looking great aswell

Cheers guys for the nice comments. hopefully get some more stuff up soon

Some really nice sculpts here! I really like your Aquaman! He has a nice, classic look to him. The only thing that I might change about him would be to make him more tapered around the waist. Make him less beefy and give him more of a swimmer’s body. I hope you don’t mind my posting an example of what I mean. Anyway, keep 'em coming! :+1:

Yea I see what you mean  I really like the Tarzan physique. I recently finished Batman Arkham City and love how they emphasized the Superhero Silhouette was a really good balance.

I tried mostly to stay close to Alex Ross’s Drawings where he’s little more bulky, but he does seem to vary

I’ll try and post some more stuff soon!

Nice work. I wouldn’t change the silhouette I think the Alex Ross style works well for AquaMan. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Hey Chaps,

Heres a piece I spent some time posing up for a final render in Marmoset Engine. Posed up the Game mesh in Zbrush for final pose. All sculpted in Zbrush and Used polypaint for colour block in and photoshop to finish up.
I popped in the inital face sculpt I did with polypaint aswell which kinda gave me some inspiration to do this guy.
It’s a game res mesh up to 11,000 Poly’s

Comments and crit welcome as always

Cheers

LOVE the wrestler piece. I really wish some studio would do a crazy, cartoonish fun wrestling game. Maybe like “Ready 2 Rumble” or “Facebreaker” (but good.) This guy would fit right in!

Cool thread and awesome style!:+1:

Cheers Guys

Heres some T-Pose Colour and Wireframe shots I forgot to post up.

My only suggestion would be to show his face… you made a great job in the face of the character just to hide it later. You could cover his head with the brit flag, pirate style or something… but the mask covers the most interesting part of your work. just my opinion.

Hey Everyone,

Heres some speed sculpts I’ve been doing to try and improve my sculpting.

Currently using same base mesh for each, using Clay Brush for forms then standard Brush for smoother refinement.
I’ve done a quick Polypaint pass aswell from the reference textures.

Hopefully get chance to refine the models further soon

Cheers

Hey,

Recently had some free time and my friend put me onto a cool website. Lokicoki.com
Some really interesting Characters that are handmade. I started with Zspheres
for the body and created some mesh pieces using Zcubes and split the shapes up with the clip features.

Very nice! How are you going about getting the cloth texture so evenly applied? Are you projection painting from an alpha, or using carefully laid out UV’s?

Cheers Sketchguy

Pattern is applied using the Noisemaker with a nitted alpha i created. I created some polygroups for masking and did the surface projections and baked in to the mesh for decimation and extraction.

Used Xnormal for Polypaint extraction and normals. I’ll pop up some more shots soon

Love the skull!
