another view with the hi poly model
hp2.jpg

The first I noticed are his hands/fingers, they need a bit more work. And the model suffers a little bit from “wet clay”, especially his arms. It’s like the bones underneat are bendt and twisted a little bit, kinda deformed instead of straight.

I’ve heard someone likes to make the legs spread wide because of ease when rigging, so i’ll guess that why they’re so far appart, because I cant really see how he will move around like that

Thanks Victorcs for your reply.
For sure this model need a little more work especially on the hands and the feet.
Well the clay brush give some good results with alpha but i went too far with it so i’m gonna smooth the muscles on the arms and the bust.
Concerning the pose i can adjust it later for rigging for sure it would be easy to make a good rig with the legs far apart but at this very moment i keep concentrate on gesture because i want the model to be almost alive  .
I’ll post another step soon.
Keep zbrushing:cool:

i continue to sculpt my model and try to texture it.
This time i add several view from zb to 3dsmax and an almost ingame view.
C&C are welcome

great work rate dude, punched out a lot of work! the creature concept is cool but the anatomy (muscle shape) might need a little work if its going to be humanoid.

off the bat i’d say the torso needs some moving/reshaping, the abdominals and pectorals are too circular and dont flow into the body organically enough.

the bi/triceps have that same problem too, going into the shoulders.

the fingers maybe be too thin compared to the rest of the bodies proportions but i’m not sure as that may be the style your going for.

the head i have to say is the best part though, so menacing and great texture to enunciate the aggressiveness.

keep up the effort, its getting there. (awesome mapping btw, no faults there what so ever)

Thanks chocolate_thunder for your reply,
as you notice the anatomy is not perfect , well I always have this problem with my models . although I often work with references it looks like i’m unable to get a good polygone flow and make my character more natural anatomicaly.Nevertheless I take note of your helpfull comments and perhaps i’ll post another step soon with a better aspect.
keep it up

This is a new step with a new texture and anatomy reworked…

a 3dsmax preview :

Hey Remib, i´ve uploaded an image with some areas, i would think about to give some more work…
I´m having similar problems when i try things look alive in Zbrush…
That´s really when having a basic knowledge of anatomy comes in to play…
Why does the body read in a certain way, what makes it do what it does…

You´re on a good path by now, have fun !!

thanks ruhebitte for your reply and your comments.
i’ve download your image and i’m gonna use it to make my model looks better.
It’s really difficult to make a realistic model even if you have a good comprehension of anatomy i mean only zmaster can do it:p.
Perhaps i’ll have to delete the high resolution subdivision and restart my model to a lower level.
I’ll post a new render soon…
keep it up

hi guys
I follow a new path with my model and i decided to take it 2 levels back and to delete the higher subd levels.
I finally reworked the anatomy and there some parts as feet and hands that need a little more work but the general aspect is now much better.
Take a look at this :
see you soon for another step
