Janimation Head Tech

Question for the moderators. It seems I lost my thumbnail altogether on the main forum page… did I break a rule or something by posting a better cropped pic?

Thanks!
Greg

Hello Infinite, I hate that I cant go into details about how just yet…as its created quite a buzz on the internets and we are talking to clients / partners about the tech right now. This was nothing more than a proof of concept of the real time posibilties.

Very cool! looking forwards to hearing more about it in the future! :+1:

Impressed…

Awesome work guys!Congrats! I’m really excited to see such work done with my beloved Softimage!

Updated render from the fellows at Pixologic

Here is a Zbrush capture of the head test we did a while back. This is something we wanted to post, and thanks to Paul Gaboury over at Pixologic we’ve been able to get an mdd capture out of zbrush to show.

This illustrates how Zbrush was used not only for the base sculpt but for all of the shapes as well. Through use of the layers and morph targets I was able to crank out shapes quite quickly.

Brilliant Job

Wow! this has so much potential. Reminded me of the old animatronic style of puppetry, the way the face and skin moved. Very cool!

thanks all. we’re really looking forward to taking this technique and pushing it even further.

@Infinite - thanks, and love your stuff man. im always impressed at what you guys are turning out.

Thats better… the last movie post was a bit out of sync. Thanks all!

Thts impressive…
Did you used a special pluggin to render your video in zbrush?

Do you use normalmap blending for your realtime animation?
The mesh seems low res but you still have a good amount of polys…

Great job!

I loveeee where this is going
