introduction ... (update + tutorial)

Thats weird juandel, i dont have these messages : the script runs to the end, but it does what he feels like (certainly not what i was doing). I guess its just a wild script
For the info, i did not resize or zoom the canvas, and i used only default textures and material.

By the way, i have to tell you that i tried my luck at landscaping with zb after seeing all the ones you made in the alphacentury thread (1 week ago). You made me understood how powerful zb could be for these things.

Here is what the jupiter’s moon looks like during daylight. Its pretty cold upthere, so everything is kinda recovered by snow.

another terrifico vista, Sarum!!! :+1: :+1: :+1: and so on to no end!

the sky is pure beauty and your handling of materials is absolutely topnotch!!! cavemodelling, wowzers!!! very inspiring! moremoremore, please!!!

i’m glad to hear my humble experiments helped to turn you on to z-scaping  why dont you post your precious vistas and tips into the alphacentury thread as well (hinthint ;)), they would turboboost the whole gallery to new limits and future newbies might find their inspirations more easily.

Very very cool  Did you by chance use the eraser to creat the tunnel under that overhang?

No, i used zcut as mentionned in the tutorial, then i moved the second layer (sky) on the zaxis until it got ontop of the end of the first layer.

Sorry…I didn’t make the connection in step 4.

Like that last wintery one the best. The colours are so soft and fit the scene perfectly.
Cheers.

np mentat, i had really not much time making this tutorial, so if anybody want to ask a question … please do not hesitate.

What i like most with this method is that it gives you a lots of control on how you can shape your land, and the best thing : its very fast
