Here’s an update on the imp. I just purchased Art Rage2 and decided to add a background to him.
The curtains, smoke, halo and outlining are done in Art Rage2. It changes the feel of the piece a little, but concidering I had the software for 2 days and I’m crap at painting, it came out quite nicely.
Art Rage 2 is a whopping $19.95 US and is a helluva tool if you have a tablet. The color blending in it is sooo nice. There’s a free version too to try out.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I’m glad you like the additions. I’m not much of a painter, but I enjoy mixing the media up. I was just trying to give folks other options for tools for their work. Guess there’s not much interest here…

Always cool to see your inspirational work. I think the white lines work particularly well on the backs of his fingers … kinda simulating light scattering off the small hairs.

Moochie: Glad my work inspires you… The main reason I posted this was to get a discussion going about using Z-Brush with other mediums. It’s a lot of fun and I figured if other folks spoke up about thier experiences, we could learn about other options.
Marco: Those were the two I was talking about. I love them both but the second is my favorite. I really like the lighting and mood.
As for your journey, it will be rewarding in ways you can’t imagine right now. Keep journeying together as the road is long,cold and dark sometimes and a soulmate will guide you through the darkest of times, even when all seems lost.
