Human Skin Shader Test [Download]

Hi hi!!
I tried or meterial and that was cool but the noise was a bit much for me so there’s the pic:

Good?

OK, I did a VERY quick and dirty paint job on the clown. I used Sokar’s standard light and skin material. I definately like the feel of it…The darker image was a quick tweak in photoshop for a nice illustrative feel and richer color work…

Dickie

Yes Sok the skin Shader is cool.
Thanks!

Dave

Third light and material posted i think :

Thx !

Thank you for sharing this wonderful material with the community SoK. This is my test.I didn’t change the settings.

I tweaked the values in photoshop a little.

SoK, old-buddy  , sorry, I forgot (is it right grammar???) to say THANK_YOU_VERY_MUCH
for your material :+1: :+1:
(BTW, I love your “galeria magna” :+1: especially 2D"true love" is AWSOME…)

Thanks again SOK. Couldn’t help messing with it more, so here’s another variation. Can’t recall everything I did, but it uses gel, a little reflection, and the noise function turned off completely. I do believe noise will slide over the surface if you render an animation or spin, which may not be something you want in a general-use shader.

return of z skin shading

nice stuff, I think a good further touch is to add some more skin details in texture, light veins, blemish, varying color as the blood is different, etc

could not resist using your skin nr.3 on this
model, the skinmaterial looks great on wrinkled models…again ,thank you SoK !!
…and with a smoother model

Sok, now i am in trouble  I looked for a skin mat a week ago and decided to adjust the one shown in the practical guide for my needs. What came out looks like this:

I have to say, that i tweaked the mat after the texture was applied, so the mat doesnt look like skin without the texture. but anyway, i shre it here: jerry-skin3.zip

then i tried your 1st material, tweaked abt 30 mins ( ) and what came out looks like this:

i must say i like the colouring of the 2nd one, but… i cant see any skin details, like in the 1st pic, although the mat “simulates” detail. Now i dont know which one i should use… Maybe you can give me advice? ^^

Anyway - very nice material, sok!

greetings

PS: btw… can you guess who it is?
here is a link to another wip of him where i tried to paint hair… its definitely not finished yet… link

This is very good!!
Here is my example: (head made in Wings3D)

some amazing skin materials going around here! thanks everyone for sharing. i can’t wait ot try my own variations. these are some of the best skin mats i have seen for zbrush.
