how to evenly distribute a texture over a model

wierd plays on this end.

I’ll check it at work later maybe I can find the high res links.

The skull was a Squirkle (square smoothed once) made in maya then sculpted into the skull.
Its point order wasnt hosed like the the bad example of shifted face directions.

Find out what sort of geometry makes the face disorder by testing it out before you commit to the sculpt.

Great idea.
I tried reducing a polysphere and a sphere 3d by reconstructing the subdivisions and then applying the texture uvtile without success. It comes out all wonky.
I wonder if using zspheres would produce a correct uv layout?
Hmmmm…

  1. take a 6 sided square
  2. UV tile it
  3. Smooth it to insanity
  4. Apply texture to it
  5. Helps if the texture is tileable in both directions but not necessary
Texture 32 is fun to play with;)
