Heavy Metal Poster

hahahahahhahaha that gave me a goood laugh mate
good job :+1:

Thanks very much guys. I am a very silly person and you can’t always sculpt Conan’s codpiece. Glad I made you laugh:D

LOL - that gave me a good chuckle - ahhh - good memories of Airplane!

I call this one TomThinker. I think he looks a bit Tom Berringer. Please comment on my anatomy. I’m sure it could be improved.
Hello everyone by the way!!

Anatomy… a hard topic

You made his shoulder badly, Deltoideus is not supposed to be that visible and wide. And flexor is too visible too…

Also his calves are do tense it looks like they are going to explode.

Im no professional in anatomy but this is some of the bugs i noticed about how you build the muscles on him

Great work.
Face is looking great!
The autopilots are my favorites so far ^^

Excellent sculpts Si, a model like that makes me think you should redo some of the movie!!!

Am working on a Jaws thing on CGSociety, an extra scene for the movie.
Would be fun…

LOL , I guess you have to be a certain age to understand that joke
the movie was old but classic!

Nice Sculpts… just lovely

Yeah the deltoid is pretty big. Its also hard to see where the deltoid is connecting to the spine of the scapula and the clavicle. Also the insertion of the deltoid (from shoulder to arm) should be a little farther down so that its close (if not on top) of the brachialis. What reference are you using?

Thanks for you comments guys, I shall fix the anatomy. I didn’t use any anatomy reference at first. I just worked from a couple of pictures of the origional sculpture then decided not to make it rough and stoney. Think I might draw the muscles on first.

Hi y’all I’ve not posted for a while. I’ve been enjoying the summer and going to weddings and festivals. I hope to do lots of new stuff and I’m really looking forward to seeing all the posts showing zbrush 3.5 skills.

Hey man, great works! Monk model is no.1 :). You also did a good job on Heavy metal!

Keep up good work.

Thanks very much. I thought I’d try GDI lighting on the monk to get a more painterly feel to the render.

I like this silk matcap that I have used. I get confused combining matcaps and basic materials when rendering. Anyone know a good rendering in zbrush tutorial?

Hi you guys, I’m still playing around with zbrush 3.5 and I miss all the funky pluggins but I thought I would share how I created this render. Trying all sorts of different methods.

ohhh… .now I get it. GDI is a global lighting material. It adds light to all the objects. I think.

Here’s how you do it.

I’m re-doing this sculpt in the new zbrush. Is it just me or can you now zoom in much closer to the model now?
