Thanks!
Another question before I locate an older copy of photoshop, can I save out a diffuse texture from photoshop? or does it need to go back into zbrush before I can export it? I am trying to avoid polypainting as much as possible.
cheers

Not using ZAppLink because the color is transferred to the texture map in ZBrush using the same method as Projection Master. But if you want to paint your texture map in Photoshop can’t you simply import a (low res) OBJ?
Yeah that would work. Im not familiar enough with the 3d side of photoshop. Ive had a quick poke around but couldnt see an obvious save texture option. Any idea of the maximium poly count it can handle? low-res meshes arent as low as they used to be lol Im basically trying to decide if I can use photoshop to texture my low polymesh or if I need to get a dedicated 3d paint option like Mari. 3dcoat does a good job of painting a low res mesh too but I would rather use photoshop
If you select the Layer and right-click you’ll have an ‘Export 3D Layer’ option. The texture will be exported with the 3D file (you can choose formats).
No idea on maximum poly counts but it will depend on your system anyway.
Thanks for your help, really appreciate it. I’ll get stuck into it tomorrow.
Ok sorry this is getting off topic now but its hard to resist the quick answers youre giving me here. I cant find the answer online (im searching for the wrong thing) but how do I export different images sizes from a 3d layer in photoshop? It seems to default to 1024. Once again sorry for going off topic, this will be my last question…
yeah its off topic… Go under UV Map and change the UV map size either by the quick select buttons or dragging the slider…
I have photoshop CS4 and running the go z gives me this error in both 32 and 64 bit versions…
Anybody have a workaround …
Much obliged…
is there a GOZ plugin for 3DS Max 2013 and Maya 2013?
solomon: GoZ in ZBrush 4R4 and 4R5 supports both Maya and 3DSMax 2013.
Brutikong: it’s because you need the Extended version of Photoshop.
Hi guys i have a question :
what about adding max 2013 and max 2012 paths inside GoZ ? i mean i want the two paths inside zbrush :s
please show me how if possible !
You can’t store by default two paths for the same application, you need to set the new path in the preferences each time you need to change of Max version.
é magico!
Thank you Pixologic
Just wanted to make sure you know the current Modo GoZ plug-in is not working for the newly released Modo 701.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and I can’t find the link from where I can download the GoZ plugin. Can I get a little help?
Thanks,
Max
The correct version of GoZ is installed automatically as part of your ZBrush 4R5 installation. Simply launch ZBrush 4R5 and use GoZ to export a file. The first time you do so, it scans your computer for compatible applications and installs the necessary components for the one you wish to use. That includes the GoZ button in the other application to send files back to ZBrush.
I have R4 so I guess GoZ isn’t already installed.
It was included with 4R4 as well. But why haven’t you upgraded to 4R5 yet, since it’s a free upgrade?
Just a note about GoZ and ZBrush installers: When you install an upgrade then uninstalling the previous version, GoZ may be removed from your computer as its files are in common in both installs. Then it is strongly advised to de-install first the current version before doing a full ZBrush install.
This problem will be avoided in the next release of ZBrush, but always take care of GoZ files which are located outside of ZBrush folder.
