willbrown: yeah, well, it’s pretty much all z3 polypaint. i had a base texture i did on previous iteration of this guy back in z2 with projection master, but i think i covered about every inch of this guy with new color in z3.

skaven: i’m kind of a sucker for shiny stuff, though i agree he is looking more frog skinned than pig or bear skinned. i’ll do some more tests and see what looks best. or i could just change the name to pigbearfrog beast… :wink:

just a quick note. i had to change the thread title from “pigbear” to “frogdog”. don’t know why i didn’t see it earlier, but a few posts and friends comments and seeing him with the polypaint made me realize that he is definitely looking more like a mutated frog-dog hybrid.

i think the next step will be to make a little diorama with him perched on a fallen tree, sorta tree-froggish, but heavier…

I had meant to view the ‘pigbear’ thread, definitely a ‘frogdog’. Nice creature concept.

I like how the light plays of the fatty, folds of the skin.

Side Note: The previous comment does not work on the ladies.
