First ever post

alien commander.jpgHere is a new sculpt. Not finished yet, but wanted to get it up here to get some comments. This is based on a sculpt I saw on Jordu Schell’s site.

it kinda reminds me of the aliens on that planet with the berillium core in “galaxy quest”
" hurry , lets get outta here before one of them kill guy!"

Here is a new alien head I did tonight. I am really loving working with Zbrush…can’t wait til I get the new release to play with Dynamesh.

I thought I would take a break from all the aliens and heads and have a go at using shadow box and some of the other tools for hard surface modeling.

Al E.jpgEven without his hair or eyes yet, he is one of the most recognizable faces ever…if you are old enough to remember him.

Here is an update to the Norris head. Added more sculpting, more detailing needed, as well as hair, more color and much better lighting.Norris head update1.jpg

On Alfred, I think the eyes are even more unsymmetrical. The ears look a little droopy also.

Do you have side reference of him? Mad never shows him in profile.

I used a huge front-on image I found online and used it in the background on image planes. I will take another look and see if everything matches up to the images I have.

Thanks for your input.

Here is an update on the Norris spider head from the Thing (1982). More detailing, better color and hair are on the way for this guy.

Just watched the 1982 and the 1951 version last weekend. Can’t wait to see the new one!!! That part of the film freaked me out even the 3rd time around. Cool model!!!
