hi
This work and render very nice.
I am so impressed!!! I watched the movie over and over and loved the movements, the blinking and the whole motion is so well done.
This is something I would love to be able to do myself and would be so proud to have done it, its absoloutly amazing. hmm, words cant actually describe how impressed I really am⊠nice textures and modeling also by the way, lol,⊠nearlly forgot about that bit as the movements were so cool,âŠ
Thatâs very beautiful! Congratulations. And it looks so much like your work, I really enjoy that very much. There are only a select few artists, who somehow exhibit this strong identifyable style in even the most complex designs, like the character of a face (nope, thatâs not written in the wrong order!). The little eyes, the large snout, it has a destinguished proportion, that somehow is found in all of your objects. Excellent work.
Rock on!

Thanks g.jonkajtys for the pointer!
lol i lost count of the amouint of times i replayed that animation that thing is awesome and the movements and the realism of muscles being in the body is just amazing very very nice job with this one!
Greg great work⊠did you use some sort of muscles system? Could you give us a litle more details perhaps? Thanks
ps
Swietnie to wyglada, jestem pod wrazeniem

Great Texturing and Character DesignâŠcoool,
Greg,
I wouldnât of thought of the method you used for the spit, so I agree with Drummer. Youâve done a real nice piece of work here, congradulations! Must have more .
Keep pushinâ those pixols!
I am overhelmed with the positive comments,
thank you. Im glad you like it.
the muscle trick, is done with shrink wrap and the oval shapes you can see on the opengl images. the skin slides over those shapes.
the saliva has just transparency map applied to the geometry, as well as bump and hdri reflection map.

Really nice creature and animation! 2 Crits: I agree with someone that said the saliva looks a little stiff. It would be good to see some spittle shoot out when he opens his mouth, especially to give the idea that he is roaring or making sound. Also, I think the tongue needs more specular highlights to give the idea that it is in such a wet mouth instead of a dry mouth full of cobwebs. The tongue looks painfully dry right now. Overall, I really like what youâve done here.
/me watches the animation clip
Itâs alive! Itâs alive!
Great work with the animation, I loved it. It really looked like a real, live creature.
wowza
i need to learn how to animate using skeletons one dayâŠ
jonkajtys,
I was wondering, what method do you use to get the model into lightwave? Lynxâs normal displacement? ZWave?
I can get my models into lightwave but they never have the fine details.
I use the bumpmap channel as well as the displacement but canât seem to get the details that nice.
I use 2048x2048 textures as well. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.
Iâve done Warners tutorial as well. I would have alot more animation done if I could get my Lightwave version to look as good as the Zbrush version.
Thanks.
ok,this model ,texture and render very nice.
excellent. really great! waiting for a tutorial on EVERYTHING!
Great Work!
I would be intersted in the texturing thingâŠyou mentioned you used zBrush AND bodypaint for texturing. Why did you use both or better askedâŠwich feature did you miss in zBrush and found in bodypaint?
I have used Body Paint, to clone portions of the photographs onto the model.
I dont know if Zbrush can do that.
I have used Zbrush for bump and displacement.
g.
I occaisionally hear of people using body paint AND Zbrush. I am wondering what it is you find that Bodypaint can do, that Zbrush doesnât. Basically, What is the advantage?
