Exodus: Game Wizards Project

omg that axe is epic! great work

Thanks man…to bad the axe was a doodle and not related to the game:)

This pipe however is…trying to acheive realism for all the game props and doing some key stone assets to teach the team:)

Simply kick ass work!

Fuse box…i did it in 1 hour – modeled and textured using my new workflow. I PROMISE…a tutorial is coming soon.

I primiarily did it in Zbrush…using this new workflow i am come up with. Enjoy

Great work! :+1: Can’t wait for the tutorial, how generous, thanks in advance.

THanks man…

again this asset was done in my zbrush club…the students ended up settling on LOTR generator…

I bit off a bit more than i could chew…i was going to do a windmill…only finished the base. And not very well…pulled out bricks on top to far etc.

You can at least see some progress on it though:)

great stuff man … really liked the Plant Pod with Corpse …

Damn man, your ****ing awesome :+1: :+1:

Pillar…actually recorded doing this thing from start to finish:)

NICE! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

It looks great! But those wire armature wiggly vines wouldn’t really do the job of holding that block together, definitely works good if you intended them to be a metaphor, if not - not as good. I don’t care much for visual effects only serving the purpose of visual effects, so don’t hold it agains’t me, for I don’t hold agains’t vfx because of vfx, but I don’t feel that kind at all

Hi man, Your work looks awesome.
I couldnt stop me from commenting this ehehe.
The pipe in particular is awesome but i would like to tell you one or two things in that work that i think could be more correct( more close to reality).
The flange of the pipe is wrong, way too thick and the bolts are way small if that was a huge flange. Also i think you atempted to represent the weldings and it looks great however from the inside when a pipe is welded the welding inside its merged with the surface of the two pipes or the pipe and acessory.
Also unless its a huge huge huge pipe or extremely thick it only takes one weldind. You can see it here: http://photo.machinestogo.net/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=143&g2_serialNumber=4

A real thick pipe with just one line.Usually those weldings are done with several layers the first one being the smaller and growing inside but from the outside u see it really think and only one line or two and in the inside u see only 1 line of welding.

Just my two cents since your trying to make it realistic.( im a pipefitter) hope i explained myself welll, sorry for the english.

Some fantastic sculpts in this thread Nick; especially like the game level sketching stuff too.
Was going to pick up the eat3d pillar tutorial, looking at you results, I thin k I will!
Great work, look forward to more

Azurea: Yah…thanks for the crit. You are totally right. I neglected alot of reality when doing the pipe. I was testing out my new process of texturing at the same time i am modeling and it got away from me;)

RawSunlight: NOOOOO don’t buy the tutorial unless you want to use mudbox. I used the tutorial as inspiration but did it TOTALLY different. All in zbrush and way faster:)

Here is an update to the pillar:) As well as todays fightclub for my class. The students settled on Kungfu Chainsaw…here was my interpertation.
