Eerie

Hahahahha, this thread is getting lively.

cannedmushrooms, well intended your post was, but missed the point. Bas was toking everyone along, as we Mac users got left in the cold again — for a long, long time. But hey, we got that poorly implemented 3d depth feature - Ha! Then we were kicked out completely with our new Intel Macs, Zbrush no workie. Hehehehehehe.

Enough hijacking of Patton’s thread…

Great character Patton, really like the look and style. The teeth add a peculiarity that I find appealing. My braces come off tomorrow after 5 years, I’ll have to post a shot of the old werewolf look for all the young people to use.

doe!
Good maybe that will push 2.5 a little faster.
I can see every member of pixologic at home right now laughing in a mad scientist cakle as they make Zbones on their multi layered Zpeople.
While they sway back and forth singing a mantra of “My Precious”

O ya Ernie Rocks by the way.

Good thing its not the same as sesame street or kids would have offed themselfs along time ago out of fear of learning.

Yeah, they laugh their mad sceintist laughs…But I still don’t know how to make a local map.:o

PATTON

Local map = Normal map

Essentialy taking the color of the image map and taking the color information in as vector information. To sum it all up, a better bump mapping technique. Zmapper creates normal maps from your geometry. I have no idea as to how this program works under the MAC platform (never had one, nor do I want one). I will upload a normal map to show you what it looks like if you don’t already know, as “local map” isn’t the standard term for normal maps same thing though!

I was using the term because of the local or world displacement normal map wanted to make sure you used the right one;)

cannedmushrooms:I was just kidding, I need all the help I can get, I will be asking you more questions, you seem to have answers ( I’m just a little slow on the uptake!!) :o
