About

The griffin, griffon, or gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle

Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin was thought to be king of all creatures

In history the griffin exists in the art and lore of Ancient Greece. There is evidence of representations of griffins in Ancient Persian and Ancient Egyptian art dating back to before 3000 BC. In the Middle Age, the griffin appears in bestiaries (animal books) and was thought to be really existing

It was proposed that the griffin was an ancient misconception derived from the fossilized remains of the Protoceratops found in gold mines:

Excellent gryphon…

Can you talk about the process between 3D print and mold making?

Material of the print? Is the print used directly for moldmaking? Any touchup before moldmaking? Etc?
Have you tried 3D printing in wax? i.e:
https://www.shapeways.com/materials/wax

Thanks for any info!

hi

You can now order digital and/or physical copies of the griffin:
