Thank you AdrianP!

Hey all! I was very much inspired by the recent bodybuilder in top row, to do one myself. I find the subject great for anatomy study and am having a lot of fun. Here’s the blocking stage. Very simple mesh in 3ds max for the body, and a polysphere for the head. To be continued.01.jpg

Oh, that’s cool. Gotta love Arnold right?

Thanks Dragon! Yes!

Here’s an updated LeChuck and a new render from keyshot. I’ve started on the retopology and sculpting anew.

beautiful

He is looking awesome man!
Really nice render as well.

What Storm said- Man, I am starting to see lots of folks using KeyShot (And it looks to be an amazing piece of software). Now, if only I could afford almost a GRAND for a Render Engine (or make enough off my art to Justify that amount of money or find a surgar moma-:D) Think I will stick with LightCap/BPR/PS (when I get ready to render-;)). Best, Dragon.

Very cool ! Love the angles and crisp quality .

Very nice render! What materiel were you using in KeyShot… Can you share with me? ([email protected])

Thank you so much all! I’m really happy you like him. Keyshot is the only rendering software out there so far that makes me want to render, so I wish you all the best for accquiring the funds for it :+1: (even if you use it for something else hehe)

SolidSnakexxx, it’s the standard material that comes with keyshot 3.1 Pro, and it’s called Hard rough plastic - forest gre #1

Hey! i have always loved this character and i like a lot what you did with him…maybe just too much stress on the pants folds, id prefered a much stylised folds for both pants and arms…but thats just my taste…anyways i like it a lot.

Keep inspiring us so much

Pescao, thank you very much for your kind words. About the folds, the reason I amde them as they are was to make a marriage between the stylized and real, hence I overdid them a bit

You make me wanna cry- Seriously, that KeyShot software looks AWSOME. Again, love the sculpt. Best, Dragon.

Thanks again!

Here are new rendering tests

This of my man Rincewind I made some time ago

And a recent speed sculpt from a polysphere (3 hrs)

Hey Cherub…lovely work as usual…Have you tried using texture maps in keyshot from Zbrush?.. stunning combined with the translucent material

Hello Peter! I was actually inspired by your renderings to get my hands on keyshot

Thank you for your kind words. I have tried it but was unable to get a good result so far for some reason. Most trouble comes from bump map which acts kind of odd.

I avoid the bump map issue by simply importing a fairly high res obj (with uv’s) then simply apply the poly painted texture map… Give it a go

Pete

Hi cherub_rock the rendering of the head is outstanding, the skin. Would you share the process on how to do it? You said something about key shots, but don’t know what that is.
Thanks.

I’ll gove it a go Peter, together with a sss map to isolate the foreheads. thank you.

Hey Adamx! Keyshot is a standalone rendering software developed by Luxion, I didn’t do much to the shader really, maybe turned down the spec some. Really simple
