Funny but I just was starting a drapery study too. I was reading about Leonardo. He was sculpting in clay first, his famous drapery studies were from these subjects.
Hey Michalis, how are you? I’ve sculpted the drapery from extracts from a female body (another study I’m doing) then retopologized in topogun, and sculpted some more in zbrush.
Was that retopo reallly needed ?;] Looks like a simple box wouldn’t have too much distortion ;f
Well not for the study alone, but if you want to keep a low polycount and the forms for other purposes such as animation, which I was being aware of - certainly

Hey guys, just a few words. I thank you all for being my support or critics, or not giving a damn, and thank Pixologic for this great software where I didn’t need to study much to get to grips with it and enjoy it.
I think the forum has become very competitive, or I failed to notice it was the same before, and I became a part of that current in time. I don’t feel happy here cause it really doesn’t feel like a friendly community any more, but rather a “gimme what I want” community.
So I’ve decided not to publish, some will be happy, some will not care, and others just might miss me a bit
I will check out my friends though and lurk for updates of the software.

oh come on Cherub. you don’t need to do that. I know what you mean, but there are still good things about this forum here. most of all Pixologic keep it still open minded and pretty much censor free, which can’t be appreciated enough.

I have seen that you use topogun for retopo, it is pretty cool to do retopo but maybe you like to have a look at 3dcoats retopofeatures. I think it is even cooler, have been using topogun before too, but now that i have 3dcoat i do all my retopos there
don’t want to bug you with that stuff, but i thought it possibly helps to speed up your workflow.

they’re not lame at all. to be honest, I really like those. what makes it so special and why I would even buy one , is that introspective peaceful face expression with the closed eyes. that’s a small detail which makes a huge difference. it makes the whole apperance far less kitschy than those things usually are.
