Hey all! It’s been a year since I’ve started using Zbrush and work in 3D altogether for that matter, and so I felt I had to somehow put a seal on it and sail on, hence this Demo Reel 2009 / 2010 which showcases a few turntables and a couple of stills of the last twelve months, but mostly from the last few months, the works I’m most happy with. I didn’t mind that some weren’t finished and weren’t going for a fancy demo reel look, sorry.
Thank you all for publishing and participating on this forum. See you with new works
Thank you therealJon! I agree, somewhere along the way I made a mistake in rendering it all out in after effects trying out different methods. The turntables were shot before as a separate “movies” so I just left them as they were and reused them hence the lower quality. But I just didn’t care all that much, just wanted to get it out of the way and turn a new page.
Hi Cherub
I like not being able to see all of the details…leaves some room for my own imagination to have fun…
Only one small suggestion, and it’s just that, a small suggestion…Maybe slow down,…just a tad… the last part after the dragon…Morgan Freeman ect…Those were pretty good, to my eye anyway, and deserve a couple of more seconds to view and absorb…Just a passing thought…
Can’t wait to see where the next chapter of your journy leads you to…KEEP INSPIRED AND INSPIRING…
CHEERS:)
Whos a fancy ass with his own demo reel now? I remember when you were first kicking off man, its such a pleasure to have you here.
I liked that demo reel, how did you do the pull focus on the wings of the pterodactyl? Was that real or Photoshop faked?
Music worked because it fit the scary mood of your images.
Really good!
Hi SpiritDreamer! Thanks! I know what you mean, I just wanted those stills to be only glimpses as they are all unfinished, so it’s a trick of mine
Rouncer, thanks again and again man!
EricShawn, thank you very much! The focus is on the whole of the Fell Beast, just it’s most noticeable in that shot - it’s no photoshop it’s just zgrabs for every frame of the turntable - in turntable plus just checked the depth pass for it, imported both the turntable and the pass to after effects, and used the depth for the lens blur of the beast’s every frame (played with the values)
Thank you all for your support! See ya!
Hey! A new wip

Great start on the new wip! Hey, happy 1year ZBrush anniversary! Checked out the reel
(and great music too). Look forward to the 2nd year of madness… .
Thank you so much Etcher! Wish you the best one yet!
Here’s something real quick to get my mind of complicated things. I saw Clash of the titans, and checkd out all things concerning it on the web, so this was heavily inspired by Aaron Sims and Tsvetomir Georgiev. I’ve never done something this freely in zbrush, thanks for opening my eyes guys

I quite enjoyed the beastman/werewolf sculpt and I hope you finish what i think is Gimli, Im a sucker for dwarves great to see you up and kicking !
Hey man! How’s everything?
Thank you for kind words, that’s just a part of her orchestral composition for a full band and I’ll be sure to congratulate her (btw she’s a music academy student, majoring in contemporary composition, so she creates music for flicks, animation, commercial, art…demo reels? if anyone’s interested just let me know).
Later
More Gimli.
