i like your previous sculpt. your getting pretty damn good man. keep it up!!!
Thanks nerveink! Means a lot. It was a portrait I’m doing for the 3rd time already to better prepare for the final version. I’ll be starting the body tomorrow and the head anew some time later. Also will be recording the process, not just the good steps and workflows, but the ones I’ll abandon as I go as well, and also the browsing of the internet for what I don’t know
Thanks for looking all!

Ej, šta ima? Fala ti, to ću njega napraviti portret kako spada. Don’t know if you liked him or not, but he’s got an interesting face either way
I already am signed in there, but I don’t compete over there because if I won I’d have to pay for my prize to be shipped to me, and I would if it were a cintiq or a tablet at least So I rather publish my work here

Hey man! Thanks for the link! that’s awesome!
Hi again. I’ve started learning mental ray in maya today, and this is what I’ve managed to accomplish so far. I still have a couple of issues though, and would appreciate any help I can get! I tried applying textures (polypaint) through the fast sss skin shader and they came translucent. Anyone?
This is most apparent around the eyes where shuld be a thick black paint layer, but thorought the face as well, cause there’s much more color variation in the polypaint.
ps the model was used just for learning sake, and is not yet finished.

adjust your shader. you need to turn down translucence.
If you wouldn’t mind, could you post a Zbrush render of the model with the polypaint as well? I’d like to see the differences in the render quality.
Thanks nerveink a lot more to learn though

Thank you Marvin! I just browsed your profile (as I usually do when I see a face I haven’t seen before ), and your artwork is very good, I’d like to see some of it on the central though
Best wishes
