hi after u said my model need a centre of balance… n after readin ur centre of balance reply. can i ask u one question? wthr wil if i put wings to him wil tat help him to balance? r can u suggest ny other solns? plz:cry: :qu:

I would like to see a full side shot rather than a 2/3 persp shot to see just how much needs to change on the proportions. We can’t really see just how heavy or long the tail is at this angle.

hi mg…the basic blocking looks good…for the centre of balance…try to make the model stand little more vetically…it is too bended, also try making the legs little longer.

Interesting idea, but I agree with many posts in that you’re making this hard to accept because of where your placing features. People accept something when it’s defined/based upon something they fundamentally acknowledge as plausible (even if totally out there). You can go crazy from that point, but they need something to accept, then they’ll go with whatever you do.

The wings would be pretty much pointless considering the mass they would have to carry. If they are not for flight, then smaller ones would prevent the misconception. Placement is the issue for larger wings, in this structure they would lift the shoulders, pulling the torso, pulling the big legs and tail - OUCH! That is a Robaxacet moment for sure.

The rest of the concept seems to work, but the detail so far and the pose are not doing the idea justice. Especially as your character looks to be standing on the heels of the feet, with the toes in the air.

Lot’s of little things hurt this overall and that’s probably what people are having the most issue with when trying to accept your idea.

Try a quick pose if your in ZB 3.x with Transpose to show the weighting of the character, it might also help you as well to see some of the issues.

Overall I think it’s an interesting idea, but find the upper body too small for such massive hind quarters. I think wit a little reworking you could have an interesting concept/character, depending on how far your taking this.

thought wings would help him to balance. but i dint look how it flies… hav to find some other way to balance him… n this was d centaur dog concept which i like most… i did this with net reference pic was done in mud box n z brushcentaurbdarklue.jpg

hey there nice work dude

here is some suggestion from me

  1. if you put wings on him just think how heavy the bottom body is and how strong and where would you put the start and end of wings

if you make out the weight you can make wings simplest examples are bird hens etc
observe how their wings are made

2.about scale and render and blah blah blah search our home first everythings is here

3.still you face problems many talents are here to help you including me;)

so dude go ahead your work is awesome and as i always say keep em coming

hi i know there r more talented people here. tats y i joined in this so tat i can clarify my doubts n learn from them. n thank u for ur support…

If you were one of my students you would be doing it over and over until you understood why you are doing things.

Almost everything you are asking has been answered many, many times here on the forum.

The level your at is where so many people start out and you can see it in thread after thread. (That is not a bad thing, it means you can get the results you would like.)

My best advice is to actually take some time and go through the threads on the forum and try what others are doing. Explore the errors brought up and the solutions, so that when you return to your works in between things will improve.

The most important thing I see in your work is the ‘rush’ to get ‘somewhere’ with it, rather than working on the fundamentals. Yes, it’s frustrating in that you want something to look a certain way - now! But do you really believe it was that easy for anyone here?

A link exists in my signature concerning zsphere’s, I don’t recommend it for that, but for all the very cool techniques and ideas so many people contributed on how to get certain looks and detail. Also search for the beta thread for Zbrush 3 (was 2.5), some very cool ideas also exist. Don’t stop, keep searching for more! All these things are here free of charge, showing you and others as many ‘secrets’ as you can absorb.

OK, getting better, you do seem to have ideas. But the pose of your ‘magician’ is so basic computer that it makes the whole scene look plastic and unreal.

Nobody has perfect symmetry, not even Arnold S., and the character looks like he’s on his tippy toes. Make him interact, give him some form and function. Flex some muscles more than others, facial expression, something or all of the above suggestions to ‘pop’ something out of this work.

They guy roasting has everything your ‘magician’ doesn’t and that’s kinda weird looking. I assume your guy doesn’t walk, floats maybe? teleports? That skirt is a wee bit long.

Just suggestions, but you might also want to take a look at something really cool that Meats Meier did some time ago to perhaps grasp what I’m attempting to explain…
