Dinner time

Looking very good, what’s your Poly count on these models in Max? Also did you break the model up to export it to Zbrush or did you exported the whole model to Zbrush? In Zbrush how many poly’s did you use to achieve the details in your models? excellent job which to see more of your work.

Hi everyone!!!
Thanks again for all the comments.I am currently in Germany and will be back in

stunning…is there a row above “top row”?
amazing stuff bro!

I’ve got your walk cylce running all the time, I love it. Your sculpts are cool and the images are great. Nice work. What led you to use the skin detail, wrinkles, on the brach…?

All these pictures have a great sense of movement to them. It’s almost like they’re about to jump out at you. Great job.

Amazing images and models

:grimacing: Awesome work man

keep going:+1:

ONE WORD: B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.
It’s just fantastic, now i made a double-wallpaper (have to displays) out of 2 different Trex-pictures.
These Pictures are rendered in 3dsmax, arent they? did you export them in high-def or in low-def with displace, cavity or normal (or combined)
I’m also working with 3dsmax and ZBrush, but i cant get it into 3dsmax just like it was in ZBrush, i have always trouble with it, can you give an tutorial or something like that? would be great, because i love the work with both tools but they are much more beautiful for using combined
By the way I’m at the moment in Germany too, a reason for it might be that I live there
ok, bye

Hey ja_popov, we are still waiting man, are you back from the FMX in Germany ? We need you !

capu

Hi everyone,

sorry for waiting so long I came back yesterday.
First of all thanks again to all of you on all of your comments.
Ok,now some replies:

V-Rex_Freak:
I am sorry, but I can not give you the model, because my friend and I are negotiating with one website from Serbia about selling this two models, along with a few others that we would create.Hope you understand.

capu:
Hey capu,I’ll try answering all of your questions.I’ll see about that making off… because I am really in lack of time right now,as I said I am finishing highshool and I have a lot to study.
Now,for those questions about skinning,at first I used default skin and I managed to skin almost every bit of T-Rex except the area beneath his legs(actually, place were inner part of thigh joins his belly).I had a lot of issues with that,so I switched to CGSkin,I found a 15 day trial on the net.
It is a product of a company called CGCharacter, and here is link to the demo version:
http://store.cgsociety.org/products/plugins/cgskin/cgSkin.exe
It is quite easy to use,and it has options of using maps instead of painting vertices for weight. As I said I used sliced pieces of mesh to drive that skin
instead of bones, simply because it worked better for me than CAT’s bones.
(Oh,and yeah,CAT is only for rigging)
One thing you should have in mind, that it is god that your model you use for skinning has very clear areas on every joint, and if posiblle a bit more polygons
on joint areas.
One of other ways of skinning is using max’s SKIN WRAP modifier.I haven’t really used this for any final work that I’ve done, but I have tried it,and with it you can actually skin your low poly mesh, and then use that whole skinned low poly mesh,to drive the high poly mesh which you also import. So you skin low poly mesh, than apply the SKIN WRAP modifier on high poly model, and then in the SKIN WRAP options you select the low poly mesh. And it uses mesh instead of bones.(Hope you’ll catch up with all this,I fill like I lost my self
in this text:D )
Anyway all of the stuff I mentiond above,I’ve found out through trial & error, and the help of internet. It may not even be right, but it worked for me,so
bare that in mind. The best way is to try it yourself.
And about that ,glitter over the body from the dino, I didn’t understand,do you mean in the walkcycle video,if so it’s done in combustion with glow.
Hope this helps you a bit.

mantodea: Hvala ,komsija,!!

jseance:I exported the whole model to Zbrush.T-Rex has about 4 milion polys,
and Brachio has about 1.5 million polys.

XzEBiX:I exported low poly caged model from ZB with displace.Yeah,it is a bit messy, having all the details from Zbrush transported in 3ds Max.I too had a lot of issues with that.Well basically, one of important things is that you have to have similar number or same, of polygons in Max,for rendering offocurse, not in viewport,as you have in Zb to achieve the same detail. For that tutorial as I said to capu I’ll see,'cause I am in a real mess with time.

CHEERS!!!

Blech! CGSkin does not work with Max9.

is okaj ja_popov, oh can you give me 6 images of your t-rex from top, bottom, front view (where you can see his face), back view (where you can see his tail, pointing at you), and a side image (where the face is pointing the the front view side). i’m sorry but you this, but i love this dinosaur like hell and i just wanted to model it for myself, so please send the picture of those image that i request and i’m sorry to beg you like this and i too felt shame for myself.

Here is a Albino version of the Rex.I’ve been playing with texture in photoshop,
and I liked it.I wish to do an animation of AlbinoRex fighting with that other T-Rex.As soon as I find some time I’ll be on it.

Hope you like it!

The Albino version looks mean and very cery cool  :+1: :+1:

hey man, that looks wicked…

I saw a documentery on TV a month or so ago regarding the T-Rex’s rise to fame. the most astonishing descovery that arceologists have made from recent samples they found of T-Rex’s skin was that they were actually covered in Small feathers…
