rtwolfenstein: It is funny that I use to struggles about I don´t have a fixed style, but seam that´s not true. At least it is nothing conscious.
I will have to study that!

David the Gnome was one of my favorite cartoons back in the day. You really have done an excellent job, Arturo, in capturing David’s likeness.

Some say style happens, don’t look for it, and it will appear in you’re work…

I think that if you create with meaning.
Have an emotional attachment to your work.
You can’t help but eventually mark the work with your own flare.
In fact I find, too many copy other peoples work and don’t
allow themselves the chance to develop.
Sure we are all influenced by others, it’s human nature to emulate.
It’s just that once we get bored with that…
That’s when the style, kicks in.
In my humble opinion if you create something that you enjoy and you’re trying to communicate through, everything takes care of it’s self.
Sure that’s easier said then done.
but then again nothing worth while in life comes easy.
The Chinese have a saying.
“Choose what you love to do and you will never work a single day in your life”.
Arturo, I think this turned out awesome.:+1:
It’s nice to see some cute sculpts for a change.
Although I have to admit I’m a monster monger.
BTW, I saw that Ronaldinho mask you did. Love it.
Any chance I can get one from you?
Being Brasilian and the world cup just around the corner it would be great fun
to wear!

Well said…

Your sculpting method with masks is awesome by the way, it saves a huge amount of time but the only flaw i saw too it was that the results were a bit too caricatural I don’t know why, maybe be because when you ident that way the features are a bit too accentuated…
Anyways here is what I obtained, i didn’t take that much time on it so there might not be a tremendous difference…

Genial tu gnomo DHARMA. :+1: :+1: :+1:

[email protected], Hey cool and I definitely see your point and also see the difference in the pics you’ve posted.

I use the method to block in my shapes, then refine them.
That will take care of what you are mentioning, also Remember to turn Sym off… that will help also.
Any how, I don’t want to steal Arturo’s thunder here… just wanted to acknowledge your post.

Great work again Arturo and still waiting on the reply for Ronaldinho.

Cheers
