Don’t you just hate it when you lose work. That is what I look like when it happens to me.Anyone who does a wolfman is ok in my book.

Thanks Santis!

monstermaker: Yep I definitely felt the rage this morning…haha Going to do a fresh install of zbrush tonight cause lately it has been happening quite alot.

Hi ZFriends!

I just had a really good time presenting new features of zbrush last Thursday. Hopefully I can get some video from it.
Anyway here is what I had showed them in the presentation. Going to finish the gun soon for his beauty shot.

Really great sketchbook David, love your newest model! Great HardSurface Model and the MechSuit is looking great aswell!:+1:

Nice model!
Maybe the wrist area is a bit to short? also the hands looks a bit small in my opinion.

Your hard surface model is great!
Id’ like to learn more about hard surface modeling in Zbrush, can you give me some useful tips or point me to some tutorial?

Thank you and keep up with the awesome stuff!

Hey Stefano! Thanks for the feedback on the model. I will keep that in mind when I start posing the guy for my next project.

Yeah hard surface in zbrush is very interesting cause you can really go without edge loops and just keep dynamesh as much as you want.
Also if you end with too many subtools you can merge them with dynamesh. I am still waiting for the video taken from the presentation I made.

I was really inspired from Cedric Seaut’s latest model which got me started on hard surface sculpting. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?136873-Cedric-Seaut-s-Little-Box/page47
There are also a few guys to mention that also has been an inspiration to me start hard surface in zbrush. Mike Jensen and Sleepfight’s http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?929326&p=929326&viewfull=1#post929326

I guess you can also search on youtube for hard-surface sculpting. I just use dynamesh, Clip brushes, Slice Curve with group split, H polish, Trim Dynamic and Shadow box for intricate symbols or shapes. Also I just mask an area where I want to extrude… really simple stuff in the end. Transferring with polypaint into lowpoly model is that hard part

By the way you have awesome portfolio man!

Very cool man. Thanks for the free-bee!

Cheers Nyx702!

Nice work but your proportions seem a little off although this could just be the camera throwing me is looks to me like the knee needs to be higher and the crotch does a touch also. The arms also look to be a little on the stumpy side.

That hard surface suit sculpt rocks.

Thanks for the feedback malc2304! I am quite happy with the proportions at the moment. It will change depending on what super hero I do anyway.

Cool sculpt, I remember your Snake Eyes from a while back. Thanks for sharing!

dbseraph: Thanks! Yeah I had fun sculpting snake eyes!

A creature maybe for a feature!
